OF ALL OF THE STRANGE THINGS THAT NATASHA ROMANOFF HAS EXPERIENCED, PREGNANCY IS A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL. Whoever decided to coin the term for hormonal nausea "morning sickness" needs a good punch in the face, according to Natasha. Because for the past few weeks, her nausea has been a constant battle in her life and was unrelenting to the point of insanity.

For the first time in her life, Natasha is actually grateful that the Red Room taught her how to hide her pain, because otherwise...she would be as fragile as a limp fawn given her physical state. Still, the woman was still terribly struggling through the emotional aspects of her pregnancy too. And that, perhaps, is even more dangerous to her well-being at the given time. Especially since she is "on the run" with little access to resources or familial support.

She toiled heavily with the idea of terminating it. She still is. But, without her fake IDs or access to accurate medical information, she cannot procure the procedure. Natasha would need to get in contact with Mason first to ensure that all of her personas are up to date before she could think of next steps.

She would need to do it soon, Natasha knew, and yet, the idea of simply ending it did nothing to curb that swirl of sickness in the pit of her belly. Still, there was no way that she could continue on with this pregnancy in her state.

With the Avengers intact and she still has access to routine prenatal care as well as a stable living condition...maybe...but even so. Being on the run without Steve by her side and never knowing if she will live to see another day, definitely not.

It would be stupid for Natasha to even consider keeping the child as a possibility.

But, she's getting ahead of herself.

First, the woman needs to somehow make it through a routine supply trip without gagging at the cured meats stacked on a snack shelf. She moved methodically along the aisles, pushing a cart and taking note of a few things on her list that were essential. Because truthfully, her sense of smell has been heightened because of her pregnancy and those smoked meats are still reeking havoc on her system.

Absentmindedly, she placed a few packages of soda crackers and rice cakes into cart. Bland food, as she read on the internet and from Laura's personal experiences of being pregnant, are great to have when nausea is really bad. Additionally, Natasha prided herself on the fact that such foods are perfect in the case of food storage and would keep a decently long time-she could focus on that fact instead of the pressing - obvious - issue.
