Our Second First Date

Meghan's POV

After we got the news, I immediately called Charlie.

C: Hey Babe, what's up?
M: Oh, nothing, just the band and I have a meeting with a producer at Hollywood records!!!
C: That's amazing Babe. We need to celebrate. How about our first date?
M: First date? Didn't we have one already?
C: Well due to a certain creepy ex, I want a redo date, call it a second first date.
I giggled.
M:Okay, a second first date it is
C: Okay, pick you up at 8 beautiful
M:okay, I love you Charlie
C:I love you too, bye
M:Bye
We hung up and looked at Sam. "Sam, I need your help finding a perfect outfit." "Are you and Charlie gonna celebrate?" "Yeah, he said this is a "second first date" so I want it to be perfect." She smiled. She picked my outfit while I at least did my hair. She helped me with my makeup and I looked in the mirror we bought a while ago. "Meg you look beautiful as always. Charlie's lucky to have you." I smiled," Thanks Sam. So I know it's been a while but is there anyone special?" She smiled," Yeah, her name is Sarah, we met at a bar after you left. We've been on two dates before you came back. I actually can't wait for you to meet her." "Awe my best friends in love!" She pushed me slightly," Shut up." I giggled. The doorbell rang and I took a deep breath. We walked downstairs and it looked like someone let Charlie in. When he saw me he smiled. I love this Canadian boy. "You ready to go beautiful?" That made me blush," Yes, handsome, I am." He held his hand out and I took it. We got in his orange Subaru and he started driving. I asked," Where we going?" "It's a surprise." He put his hand on my thigh. It felt good. We drove until we got to this restaurant. It didn't look fancy but it looked nice. He acted like a complete gentleman, and opened my door. We go inside and get seated. "This place is gorgeous." The waiter came right to us," What can I get you?" We ordered our food and the waiter left. "So, Charlie, how was it with your sister?" "She's doing good. She seems to like you." I smiled,"well that's good."

Charlie's POV
I never thought I'd say this but I'm in love. I love how her green eyes shine with the light hitting it. How her brown hair lays perfectly on her shoulders. How full and beautiful her lips are how her bo-. My thoughts were interrupted by the waiter, "Here you go. Enjoy your meal." He left and Megs giggled. I love her giggle. We start eating and enjoyed each other's company. After we were done eating I took her to Griffith Observatory. Of course there was people there but we got to see L.A. Megs was in front of me so I hugged her from behind.

Meghan's POV

As Charlie hugged me, I started to feel like my life was finally getting good. I had my mom moving here in a few days, I had the most amazing friends, I have my band, but most importantly, I have Charlie. I don't know what I did to deserve a sweet guy like him. Charlie asked," What you thinking about?" "How my life is finally getting good." He hugged me tighter. I never felt so safe. He's the best thing to ever happen to me, besides the band of course. To think I met Charlie almost a year ago. Who knew he'd change my life forever. "Can you believe that we met a year ago?" He chuckled," Yeah, it's crazy." He let go of me and I turned to him. "How did I get so lucky to be in love with a guy like you?" He smiled," I guess we were just meant to be." I giggled. I looked deeply into his eyes. I seen something I never seen with anyone else. I saw my whole future. It's crazy but all I know is I want this man by my side for the rest of my life. He started leaning in so I did too. We kissed and it was a soft, sweet one. He pulled away," You ready to go." I was about to respond but I started yawning. "Let's get you home. He went in front of me and started kneeling down with his back toward me,"Hop on Megs." I get on his back and he carried me down to the car. Charlie smelled so good. He takes me home and walks me to the door. "Did you have fun?" I nodded," Yeah, I did. I love our second first date." I giggled at that. He said," Well, I should let my beautiful girlfriend get some rest so goodnight Megs, I love you." I kissed him," I love you too. Goodnight." I went inside and I went to my room. It was past midnight so everyone was asleep. I went to the bedroom and I fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up and I looked at the time. It was 10 and I was still tired. I heard the door open,"Meg, get up. I need to know what happened last night. I was sleepy but I smiled. I told her what went down and she was eating it up. "Awe, that's so cute." "Let me get up and dressed and I'll meet you downstairs okay?" She nodded and skipped out of our room. I grabbed my phone and I saw a text from Charlie and one from my mom. I opened my mom's first.

Mom: Hey sweetie! I just wanted to let you know that I'll be in LA tomorrow. I hope you can pick me up from the airport? Maybe with your dads car?

I was shocked. I figured she wouldn't want to see my dads car.

Me: Yeah! When will you be in LA

Mom: Around 1

Me:I'll pick you up then love you!

Mom:love you too

I went and looked at Charlie's text

Mr. Maple Man Charlie 😍: Good morning! I hope you have a beautiful day and I love you! 😘

I smiled

Me: Awe! I love you too!🥰

Now to get ready and get my day started.
