"The body of Christ." the priest's voice boomed throughout the chapel.

"Amen," [Name] bowed her head before looking up at the priest. He placed the body of Christ next to her lips, and she closed her eyes as the tasteless wafer dissolved on her tongue.

She went back to her place and kneeled on the floor as she bowed her head and began to spiel prayers out of her lips. Despite her overzealous facade her mind began to wander as it always did when she prayed.

She didn't enjoy going to mass as often as she did, she had to pray for an hour every morning in the private chapel, and then she had to attend mass every Sunday with either Zeke or her ladies by her side.

The only difference was that, unlike her, he had the option of whether he wanted to attend or not.

The disdain in her stomach only seemed to grow.

Once mass finished she was out of the chapel, with Sasha and Christa following closely behind her. She frowned once she saw Ymir step into the hall in front of them.

"Ymir," she muttered under her breath, once the brown-haired girl walked towards them. The queen took off her black lace veil and stuffed her rosary in her dresses' pockets, that was enough worshipping for today. "Where were you? You know you cannot miss mass on Sundays, and you know I have to listen to petitions in an hour."

Ymir completely ignored her warning and continued with her own story. "I have news."

News...

"What kind of news?" the queen said with uninterested eyes as she continued her steady pace towards her room.

"Nothing good," Ymir responded.

[Name] sighed. "When is it ever good?"

But when Ymir leaned in to whisper the news in her ear, she could hardly believe what she'd just heard. There was a sudden ringing in her head, and she felt the world grow muddy.

She couldn't make heads or tails about what her friend had just told her, all she felt was her stomach twisting and her head jumbling. In an instant she was slamming into Zeke's study, so enraged that she forgot she was still holding her bible in one hand.

If she was mad before, she was fuming when she saw Zeke holding Pieck's face tenderly.

"Your majesty–" the woman began, but the queen's sharp voice cut her off.

"Leave us."

With one small curtsy she was out of the room in an instant and [Name] wrinkled her nose as Zeke ran his eyes over her body.

If looks could kill she would've been six feet in the ground.

"[Name]–"

"How could you do this to me?" she took a step towards him.
