Sam and Khai sat across from each other in the cafe while the rain poured outside, both on one bench of a booth, Khai leaning her head on Sam's shoulder. Sam took a sip of his strawberry milkshake while Khai neglected hers, typing on her phone.
"Whatcha doing?" Sam asked, glancing down, frowning at the ferocity Khai was typing with.
"Apologising. I was a bitch to Sapnap. And everyone. Except George." She mumbled, returning to typing immediately. She kept at it for a moment more, before sighing and turning her phone off.
"Did you- tell them?" Sam asked.
"No, not yet. I thought it'd be funny to let them think I fucked everything up for a while." Khai said with a snort.
Sam laughed. "You're ridiculous."
Khai just hummed, leaning forward to take a sip of her milkshake - chocolate - before leaning back into Sam's side. He smiled down at her before leaning in for a kiss, their lips tasting like milkshakes.
Khai beamed, gazing into his eyes.
He held eye contact, stifling a laugh. "Hi."
Khai grinned. "Hey."
She leaned up for another kiss, Sam reaching a hand down to her cheek.
Khai pulled back perfectly content. She had this. she was going to screw it up again.
"So... are you gonna be my girlfriend?" Sam asked with a smile.
Khai's smile grew even wider, if that was possible. "I don't know. Am I?" She replied with a giggle.
Sam placed a finger under her chin, bringing her face up to catch her lips in another quick kiss. "I think so."
