Using OC Riley Irvine, but in this story she will be known as Riley Johnson. She is not a wrestler nor related to one.

My sister Ava and I made our way to the Peterson Event Center. We were so excited to finally be attending our first AEW show. We had been talking about going to a show since we started watching AEW back in 2019, and now we are finally here.

"We are so taking an Uber on Friday for Rampage," Ava huffed as we made our way up a steep hill.

"Oh, fuck yeah," I said, trying to catch my breath.

When we finally made it to the top of the hill, we stopped for a second to get some air back into our lungs.

"You would think that since we started training, we would be in more shape than this," Ava said, taking big slow breaths.

"You honestly would think that..." I said, tilting my head back.

We stood there for a couple minutes trying to catch our breath before continuing up the hill. When we finally reached the top, we saw that there were multiple lines and got a little confused about where we needed to go. I noticed a security person standing by the door so I decided to walk over and ask him.

"Excuse me," I said, walking up to the security guard. "We have tickets for the meet and greet at 5:30 and are not sure which line to get in."

"Oh, you actually can go ahead and head inside," The security guard said, motioning to the door.

"Oh, awesome," I said with a smile. "Thank you!"

My sister and I headed inside and got in the line to get our tickets scanned. We could see the wrestlers standing over by their tables and I started to get a little excited. The wrestlers that were there for the meet and greets were Britt Baker, Alan Angels, Preston Vance, and Wardlow. Ava and I had both gotten tickets for Wardlow, and then Ava had also gotten tickets for Britt Baker.

"God, that man is even more gorgeous in person," Ava said as she looked over at Wardlow.

"Right," I said looking at at her. "I am literally shaking."

Ava let out a chuckle and I looked back over at Wardlow to see that he was looking over in my direction. I glanced away quickly and told myself that he wasn't looking at me and that he was probably just looking over at all the people waiting in line for the meet and greets.

Once we got through the line, we walked over and got our 8x10s that we would be getting signed and got in the line for Wardlow first. I could feel my hands starting to shake a little bit more as we got closer and closer to the front of the line.

"Are you good?" Ava asked, noticing my shaking hands.

"I'm just fangirling on the inside a little bit," I said, with a chuckle.

"50 bucks says you won't ask him if he's single," Ava said with a slight grin.

"Bitch, don't do that to me," I said giving her a side eye.

"Oh come on," Ava said, rolling her eyes. "The worst he is going to say is no."

I let out a sigh and rolled my eyes.

"Fine," I said. "But you don't get to laugh at my humiliation."

"No promises," Ava said with a wink.

It was finally my turn, and I felt my heart jump into my throat. I really didn't want to do this, but I knew that Ava was right and that the worst thing he could say was no. I walked up with a smile on my face and handed Wardlow the 8x10.

"How's it going?" Wardlow asked.

"Oh you know, just fangirling a little bit," I said with a chuckle.

Wardlow let out a small chuckle as well that made my heart race even faster.

"Who can I make it out to?" He asked, taking the lid off the sharpie.

"Riley," I said, with a small smile.

"It's nice to meet you, Riley," Wardlow said, signing the picture.

He handed the 8x10 back to me, and we both turned towards Ava so that we could take a picture together. After Ava took the picture, I decided that it was now or never.

"Hey," I said turning back to Wardlow. "I know you probably get this a lot, but are you single?"

Wardlow let out another chuckle.

"Actually, yes, I am," He said with a small smile.

"Seriously?" I said in shock. "That's really hard to believe with the way you look."

"I get that reaction a lot," Wardlow said, laughing.

"Well, would you want to get dinner tomorrow night?" I said, jokingly.

"Sure, why not," He said, with a smirk.

My eyes widened a bit when he said that. He couldn't be serious.

"Here," Wardlow said, reaching for the 8x10 I had in my hands.

I handed it back to him, still too shocked to say anything. He flipped it over and wrote something on it before handing it back to me. I glanced at it and saw that it was a phone number.

"We can work out the details after the show," Wardlow said.

"Okay," I said, nodding. "I'll shoot you a text."

Wardlow just smiled and nodded. I switched places with Ava and let her get her picture and everything signed, before I walked over to an empty place so that I could try to slow my racing heart. Ava went and got Angels and Preston's autograph before coming over to me with a huge smile on her face.

"Holy shit!" She said, softly, trying not to freak out.

"I know!" I said in the same manner.

"You seriously just got Wardlow's phone number and you're going to dinner with him tomorrow!" Ava said.

"For once, I'm actually glad you bet me to do something," I said with a smile. "I can't believe this is happening!"

The two of us fangirled for a little bit longer before the door finally started to open and the ushers let us go up the escalator so that we could find out seats. Even though I was really enjoying the show, all I could think about was tomorrow night.
