I woke up to the sound of Max's alarm on his phone. I let out a groan and bury myself deeper into the covers as I felt a cold breeze go over my body. Max had left the window open last night because I usually kept it warm in the bedroom because I always got cold. Max turned off his alarm before wrapping his arms around my naked torso, pulling me closer to him. I sighed in content as I felt the warmth of his body.

"Baby, you know we have to get up so that we can get ready to head to the airport." I said, still half asleep.

"I know, sweetheart," Max said, placing a kiss on my shoulder. "I just wanted to cuddle a little bit longer."

I nodded and we laid there a little bit longer before I felt Max let go of me and get up out of bed. I shivered as I felt his body heat leave. I hear Max start the shower, and I pull the comforter closer to me trying to warm back up.

Right as I was starting to drift back to sleep, I felt the comforter being removed and I felt myself being lifted off the bed. I open my eyes a little bit to see Max carrying me bridal style into the bathroom. He has the small space heater on so that it isn't so cold in there. He sets me down gently and kisses my forehead.

"I turned the water up to the hottest it can get since I know you like your hot showers. I'll grab you some clothes while you shower." Max said, before leaving the bathroom.

I climbed into the shower and stood under the hot water, trying to warm myself back up. Once I was finished with my shower, I shut the water off and grabbed my towel and secured it around me. When I stepped out, I noticed a pile of clothes sitting on the sink for me. I smiled and walked over, seeing a note as well.

Here are some nice warm clothes, baby. I'll be downstairs making breakfast, and I'll have the fireplace started. Love, Max

I set the note down and saw that Max had brought in a pair of sweatpants, my favorite pair of fuzzy socks, and one of Max's hoodies from college. I quickly got dressed and towel dried my hair before heading downstairs.

When I entered the kitchen, Max was frying up some bacon. The fireplace in the living room was on, and was slowly starting to warm up the house. Piper was curled up right in front of the fireplace, no doubt trying to get warm, too. I took a seat at the island, and soon Max was finished with breakfast. He placed my plate in front of me along with a cup of coffee. He sat down beside me with a plate of his own and we both ate breakfast before collecting our bags and heading towards the airport so that we could head off to Dynamite.
