Damian Priest (Request)

This is a one shot request for @nemracdz2 ! Thank you so much for requesting a one shot and I really hope you like it!

"How could you do this to me!?" Bayley screamed.

In her hands was her favorite jacket that she liked to wear out to the ring. Riley stood there with a confused look on her face, not really sure why she was being screamed at. This was the first time she was seeing Bayley today. 

"What is going on here?" A voice said from a little ways down the hallway.

Bayley and Riley turned to see Sonya Deville and Adam Pierce walking up to them. Riley stepped back a bit from Bayley and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Look at what she did to my jacket." Bayley said, showing them the destroyed jacket.

Riley's jaw almost hit the floor when she heard what came out of Bayley's mouth.

"Are you fucking serious?" Riley asked.

"You know damn well that I'm serious," Bayley replied. "And it's not just me that you've been doing this to."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Riley said, throwing her arms up in the air.

"It's true," Riley heard someone say.

When she turned around, Riley saw Natalya and Tamina walking up.

"She's been destroying my gear as well," Tamina said.

"And my Tag Team belt has gone missing and I'm pretty sure I know who took it," Natalya said, side-eyeing Riley.

"What are you talking about?" Riley asked, again. "Why the hell would I take your title belt? And what do I have to gain from destroying your gear, or your jacket?" 

Sonya stepped in between the girls.

"Alright, ladies, let's not get hostile," Sonya said, trying to calm the situation. "While we can't really prove whether you did or didn't destroy Tamina's gear, or Bayley's jacket.."

"Which I didn't," Riley said, defending herself. 

"If you wouldn't mind us checking your bag," Adam said. "We can at least settle that."

Riley slung her bag off her shoulder and handed it to Sonya with an eyeroll. Out of the corner of her eye, Riley saw a few other Superstars starting to gather from all of the commotion. Riley just rolled her eyes again, and watched as Sonya opened her bag. A chorus of gasps was the next thing to be heard as Sonya pulled out one of the Tag Team belts from Riley's bag.

Riley could see a smirk forming on Natalya's face as Sonya and Adam just had a look of shock. Riley didn't know what to say. She felt like there really wasn't anything she could say.

"Riley..." Sonya said in a disappointing tone. "I really never expected you to do something like this."

"I didn't take the belt!" Riley said in retaliation. "Someone must have put it in my bag while it was still in the locker room."

"Riley, unfortunately, with report of it being stolen and you having it in your bag... we're going to have to suspend you..." Adam said with a sigh.

"What!?" Riley yelled.

Sonya was about to speak when a voice spoke up.

"Now, hang on a second,"

All heads turned to see Damian Priest pushing through the crowd of Superstars. Riley blushed slightly and looked away from him. Priest was someone that Riley had been crushing on since they worked together in NXT.

"Yes, Priest?" Adam asked.

"Riley isn't lying," Priest said, taking his phone out of his pocket. "I have proof that Riley didn't take the belt."

Priest pulled up a video and turned his phone towards Riley, Sonya, and Adam. Riley's eyes widened as she saw Tamina and Natalya standing outside the locker room with Riley's bag. The video showed Natalya putting the tag belt into Riley's bag. The video ended, and Priest put his phone away.

"Well," Sonya said, turning to Natalya and Tamina. "This changes everything."

Natalya and Tamina both looked dumbfounded. Riley held in a laugh as Sonya took them to her office.

"Riley, I wanted to apologize for jumping to conclusions," Adam said. "I hope you can forgive me."

"We're good, Adam," I said with a small smile. "As long as you give me a match with Natalya next week."

Adam let out a chuckle before nodding his head.

"Consider it done," He said before walking away.

Bayley and the rest of the superstars left as well, but when Riley turned to walk away, she almost ran into Priest who was still standing there.

"Thanks for standing up for me," Riley said with a small smile.

"It was no problem at all," Priest responded. "Those three have been spreading lies about you for so long that I was getting so tired of it."

Riley chuckled and put her hands in her front pockets. 

"You sound annoyed, Priest," Riley replied.

Priest shrugged before looking down at Riley.

"I don't like people spreading lies about someone I care about," Priest said, softly.

Riley felt her face heating up as she cleared her throat and looked away from him. Priest put a hand under her chin and raised her head so she could look at him.

"I care about you, Riley," He said sweetly. "And, dare I be this bold, but I love you. And I've felt that way since the first time we trained together in NXT."

Riley felt tears coming to her eyes, but she didn't have time to say anything before Priest pressed his lips to hers. The kiss was short and sweet, but when Priest pulled away, Riley had a huge smile on her face.

Priest took Riley's hand in his and they started walking down the hallway to head out for the night.

"I still can't believe Bayley tried to tell people that you ruined her jacket," Priest said.

"Oh, I did," Riley said, looking up at him.

Priest stopped walking and looked down at her shocked. Riley looked up at him confused.

"What?" Riley asked.

"Are you serious?" Priest asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah," Riley said with a shrug. "It was a stupid jacket and I knew it would get her worked up."

Riley let go of Priest's hand and kept walking because she was ready to leave. Priest stood there for a short second before catching up with her and wrapping an arm around her waist, letting out a chuckle as he realized that he's in love with a crazy, beautiful woman.
