We did it

Just like that we jumped. We hit the water and I felt Sawyers hand disconnect from mine. But then seconds later I felt a killing sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I couldn't tell what it was while I was underwater. I made my way to the surface and looked around the water to see blood around me.

I turned around the see part of land and I quickly moved as fast as I could with my injury. I crawled onto the ground and I saw Sawyer a little bit farther from me but he was ok. I heard him yell. "WE DID IT BLONDIE, I TOLD YOU!" I finally looked down at my stomach to see a piece of sharp metal sticking out of it.

I turned my head and thankfully it didn't pierce my body all the way through. I was in a lot of pain and I almost couldn't move. I heard Sawyer yell again. "YOU HIDING IN SHAME CAUSE I WAS RIGHT!" He looked around I could see. "Blondie?" He turned in my direction and saw me against a rock.

He quickly ran over and bent down to my level. "Lyndsey, what happened?" I tilted my head and spoke up. "I just got stabbed, Sawyer. That's what happened" He looked at me and was instantly regretting pulling me with him. "Was it..." I interrupted him. "Ya, I think. Debris from the plane. Like I said but you didn't listen!"

He looked down and back at me. "Well, just pull it out right" I looked at him. "What no!" He replied. "But you just cover it with something" I sighed. The pain was getting worse. We needed to move if we wanted to get back to camp. "Sawyer! If you take the metal. I'll die before we get to the beach"

He looked up at me with shock and guilt on his face. I just glared at him. I looked away before speaking again. "Here, help me up" He looked at me. "What?" I turned my head back at him. "We can't just sit here and wait for an ambulance and besides this isn't my first time being stabbed"

He looked at me confused. I lightly chuckled and he helped me up. He put my arm around his shoulder and he put his other arm around my waist. There was about a 40 minute walk ahead of us.

Hopefully I wouldn't die in those 40 minutes.
