"Who told you?" Nyx asked his mother.

The wedding had finished an hour ago, and now with the moon in the sky the party would start. It was only a little thing, a small table on the floor of a meadow and pillows instead of seats. The table had flowers all around it. And cake, cake Nyx knew Verna had stolen from the kitchen.

"You have been acting strange since Starfall," Feyre said with a small smile on her face as she watched Circe and Verna dance under Julian and Lucian's arms. "And. . .someone came to the house this morning saying that they believed something was wrong with you. They over heard you and Lilith talking at a café about Verna."

"Can they not be all in my business for one second?"

"Nyx you are their heir. They remember the day you were born, some probably remember meeting you for the first time." Feyre laughed. "They care for you. If you like it or not. They wanted to make sure you were okay."

"Thank you." Nyx whispered. "And not only for today."

"Nyx. . .you are my son. Your one of my birth children, I held you in my womb." the High Lady of the Night Court whispered. Each of her subjects where seen as her children. She was the moon, and her subjects the stars. "I will do anything for you. Just like I will do anything for Lilith. I will stand by you even when you make choices I don't really agree with. I will stand by you, because your one of my children and I love you."

"Mother. . ." He whispered.

"This does not mean I change my mind on having grandchildren." She said smiling. "I'm still to young to tell anyone I'm going to be a grandmother."

Circe was laughing as Julian went deep into his cups. Verna had already danced twice with Circe. The dragon has already had to cups of wine to drink. The female showed up half way though Nyx's conversation with his mother. It seemed that the female had no idea what was happening but had agreed to keep everything a secret if she was allowed some cake and a few cups of wine. Verna had only laughed and agreed. Freya Evermore was already eating her third slice of chocolate cake with a side of apple crumble. Both of which had been made by Nyx's aunt.

"Will aunt not ask questions when she finds it missing?" Lilith asked.

Verna and Nyx were at the head of the table. Circe was sat on her left and Lucian on her right. Next to Lucian, in the middle was Julian had already been drink heavy. Feyre only sat next to him, the High Lady shaking her head. The table had both seats at the head and three either side. Facing Feyre, and to Nyx's side was his sister. With the Dragon sitting between the Heiress of the Night Court and the High Priestess of Spring Court.

"She will question, I'm sure." Feyre laughed. Even a slight red blush went it her face, made by the wine that Verna saw in her cup. "Though, I will just blame your father. Everyone knows my mate likes my sisters cooking."

"I have yet to try it." Circe laughed. "Only because Freya had enough slices to feed an army. So I would have to take your word for it, High Lady."

"'To feed an army?'" Freya laughed rolling her light purple eyes. "I had a few slices and I like food. Their is no shame in that."

"Yeah, now give it to me." Circe yelled before taking the cake from Freya's hands. "Thank you."

Lilith laughed slightly before she rose to her feet. Only to put her hands on the table as she rocked slightly, the pull of the wine pushing her down. Feyre, helped her daughter up.

"Go easy on yourself," Feyre whispered to her daughter. "We don't want you hurting yourself. Not in such a happy day."

"I'm fine." Lilith laughed. "Though I am going back home. It's nearly midnight."

Verna looked up to the dark sky, now the only light was that of the candles. When did it get so dark?

"Indeed." Feyre said. "I will come back with you. Stay safe." She said looking at Nyx and Verna. She then smiled at the heiress of the Spring Court. "Welcome to the family, Verna."

She then left. Lilith kissed her brothers cheek before she joined her mother back in the Night Court.

"I'm going to go as well," Lucian said. "And I will take this one with me. Before he robs you of all your wine."

"I had six glasses." Julian laughed. "And forgive me, Lady of Wind!" He yelled looking at Circe. "But I must say you look like a snack!"

Circe blushed as her lips twitched up. She then rolled her eyes. She then called upon a small bit of wind to blow out the candles near Julian.

"Fine, I will go." Julian hissed. "Come Lucian!"

Lucian rolled his eyes before he put a kiss to Verna's cheek. He then patted her head.

"Your Mating gift is on your bed." He said before kissing her hand. "Come on, you big shit."

And with that they left.

"I should go to," replied Freya. She then smiled as she looked at Verna. "You will be most happy, I am sure. There is a gift for the both of you, in the shape of a small wooden cabin in the woods of this land. With two bedroom and a lavish bathroom." She then kissed Verna's cheek and whispered something into her ear before she vanished.

Now it was just Nyx, Verna and Circe. Nyx was looking at Verna as if he was going to eat her, Verna returned that look. From her side, Verna saw Circe cringe.

"That's my cue to leave." Circe whispered. "Your bond is smelling way to much. And I need to be there for when Echo and Tamlin wake up. Try not to stay out to late, though I have cover your until lunch."

"Thank you, Circe." Verna said and Nyx nodded his own thanks.

"Later losers!" She yelled.

"I forgot how loud Circe is," Nyx whispered as Circe left. "I feel like I will have an headache tomorrow."

"You will get used to it." Verna laughed. "I have for the last two hundred years. And my head does not hurt so much—oh I have something for you!"

Nyx looked at his mate with an raised eyebrow. She then put her hand under the table and pulled out a napkin. With an raised eyebrow he opened it. In his hand was a cookie shaped like a live heart, one that he knew Verna had made herself, it was covered in white icing and in purple was written N and V.

"I know female mates normally give their mates good. . ." She blushed. "I know it's not perfect. . ."

"No. It's perfect." He laughed. "Will you share it with me?"

"Of course." Verna said and she snapped it into. She gave him the one with an V on it. "Have this one."

"A V for Verna?" She nodded. "Perfect. I will eat this like I will eat you."
