"Hello, darlings. Oh, don't look shocked sweet Verna." The High Lady of the Night Court said. "Nothing stays a secret for long. Not when Lilith has a big enough mouth."

"Thanks Ma." Lilith said crossing her arms.

"Mother," Nyx said. "Why are you here?"

"To watch history?" She laughed. "Darling, I'm here because I want to be. I'm your mother. Plus, I want to tie the fabric around my sons hand."

"Why. . .?" Verna said slowly. Feyre knew what she meant.

"Who knows? Perhaps it's because I think it's the right thing to do. Perhaps, it's because I want all this fighting to end." She sifts from foot to foot. "Perhaps, it's because I want to be there for my son on the most important day of his life. Perhaps, I'm here because when my mate finds out about this, he's going to go crazy. So Perhaps it is better if a High Ruler is here watching over it to act as witness. Perhaps, I'm here because something has all ready happened and it cannot be changed now." Feyre sighed once again as her blue eyes went to Verna's face. Her stomach. And then the gown. "You look beautiful. Now may I? If you allow me to, that is."

Circe looked at Verna before her black eyes went to Nyx. She raised one of her red eyebrows. Nyx nodded.

"High Lady of the Night Court, please take the fabric and move it around their hands in one full fold."

Feyre smiled as she took it.

"Mother," Nyx said. "How did you know? Did someone tell you?"

"Yes and no." the High Lady of the Night Court said with a smile. "No one told me outright but I worked it out. Though, people did come to me saying that you and Lilith where up to something. Im just thankful that they went to me and not your father, we could only image the mess that we would be standing in right now. I just worked it out."

"How?" Verna said slowly as she watched Feyre picked the fabric up and moved it around her hand.

"Well, because I knew Rhys I knew that the Mating would be here. In the Spring Court and not the Night Court. Not when any Priestess might report back to your father." Feyre then smiled as she looked at Verna. "And due to your father, I would happen at night and be in an older temple that no one uses anymore. Impressive. Truly it's impressive you came up with this plain within, what was it? Two days?"

"You worked all of that out?" Verna asked. "On a feeling?"

"I'm a mother," Feyre said a small smile on her lips. "I know when something is wrong with one of my children. Now if you don't mind, High Priestess as you were."

Feyre then sat down next to her daughter.
Circe nodded before she coughed, then once more she looked at Nyx.

"Nyx Edvard Amaris, do you wish to be mated this female and have another as your witness?" Circe said.

"Indeed I do." Nyx said.

He looked down at Verna, a smile on his face and in his eyes. The rest of the mating happened without anyone else walking in, and no one said a word until. . .

"And now with a ring of love," Circe said. "The male will place on the females finger. On the one that goes to her heart to show that he will love her until it stops beating. That now until his last breath that his heart beats only for her. Nyx the ring."

Nyx looked down at Verna, "I forgot the ring." He whispered.

Verna laughed, the sound soon followed by Nyx's own laugher. Even Circe giggled.

"I have a ring." Feyre said pulling one of her finger. "It's a good thing I ca—"

"The river." Verna said touching her necklace. The ring the river gave her around if. "I have a wedding ring."

Nyx looked down at her confused.

"I will explain later." She mouthed.

It had happened so long ago that Verna nearly forgot about it. But it happened at Starfall, during the first luncheon here all them months ago. She has found it afterwards in the river, as if someone put it there. She went to ask both Lilith and Erica who it belonged to but both females claimed that they had never seen it before. So, Verna went home with it and put it on a necklace chin she owned. She had it on her ever since. It was rose-gold and the top bits were shaped like vines. The stone itself though, was of a deep blue with whites in it. It looked like the night sky. Verna then undid her necklace and placed it in Nyx's hands. He smiled down at it, before pulling it off it's chain.

"Good to see someone knows." Circe joked and a smile went to both of their faces. "Nyx you may put the ring on Verna's finger and say 'from now on my heart only beats for you and the touch of your love.'"

"'from now on my heart only beats for you and the touch of your love.'" Nyx said putting the ring onto her finger.

The river knew at that moments what her future would be. She was sure of it. And who it would be with. A ring it had giving her a Mating ring. The gold vines for the Spring Court. The Vines for House Tansmia. And the night gem for the Night Court. Night for House Artemis. And in a circle for the joining of the two. Verna did not know how or why, but that river knew her future. About this moment and the male she would share it with.
