Simon
"You're already packed?" Penny walks around the kitchen island to look at my bags.
"Well, I kind of... already packed yesterday." I shrug.
"Bloody hell, Simon. You really were confident that you would get him to cave."
I gave her the biggest smile I could muster up, "How long will he take?"
"A while, he left around 10 minutes ago, Simon."
"You're really not going to come with us just because you have to talk to Micah for one day? We're going for three! What will you do anyway?"
"I'll come up with something, don't worry, Simon. Plus it's better that you two get some time alone, yeah?"
I didn't like the way she kept saying my name, 'Simon, Simon, Simon', something was wrong.
"Yeah..." I go back to looking at the bags near my feet.
"What are you going to do about those?" Her eyes wander over to my wings- Crowley, I forget that I even have those anymore.
"Baz will take care of them," she gives me a questioning look, "He always does."
"If you say so. Just- take care, Simon. Stay safe."
Again with the name.
"I will try. Why won't I be safe though?" I stick out my head to look at the clock behind her rather than her eyes.
11:15 a.m.
About fifteen minutes to pack, isn't that enough for him?
"You know, trouble kind of... follows you anywhere." She gives an awkward smile before bursting into laughter.
I laugh along, shaking her words off.
"So, where are you guys going?" She asks as she pulls out an extra plate for the eggs.
That's when it hits me- I don't even know where we are going. "Well, we're definitely going somewhere-" I shove a bite into my mouth so I don't have to finish my answer.
"You don't know, do you?" She gives me another one of her baffled-yet-questionable looks.
"Well-no."
We both stare at each other, both equally confused, and slowly start easing into our normal small talk and ridiculous chats. I missed this, we hadn't talked normally since forever.
After a few more minutes, we hear a ring at the door. "I'll get it!"
I spring up from my seat to the door and within seconds, before me stands a tall, pale, highly stylish figure.
He runs a hand through his hair and pushes them back for the slightest second until they fall back again. His shirt is unbuttoned at the collar and is tucked behind a mint belt buckle- yes, mint.
"You're certainly... dressed." I say, looking back at the jeans and shirt that I threw a trainer jacket over.
"It's a vacation, Snow, of course I'm dressed. Apparently, it also keeps my mind away from the fact that I'm ignoring work for this, it calms me." He closes his eyes and takes a half-arsed deep breath.
"Okay," I turn around to face Penny along with him, "So, where are we going, Baz?"
"Yeah, I'm not going to let you take him without me knowing where," Penny mocked her mother's tone and stance, making me giggle.
He looked at us with the most vain expression- he's so vain, I love him- and simply said, "It's a surprise, of course."
I don't hear what he says... Did I just say I loved him?
