Simon

"Where are we going?" I finally asked after having not spoken for about half an hour.

He looked over at me with a slightly disdainful look, "You'll see," he mumbles through a half-smile.

I don't have the energy to inquire any further, I have some things to figure out on my own.

Why would I even think that? Love him! That's a bit too much...

I mean, sure, this is different from what I had with Agatha. I never genuinely wanted her to spend time with me. I just wanted her to spend time with us- me and Penny- as friends. But with Baz, sometimes I just want him all to myself, and no offense to Penny- but, maybe, I could go without her once in a while.

That's crazy talk- I wouldn't survive without her.

I don't love him... I just really, really like him and as I had said almost over an year ago now- I like this better than fighting.

"What are you thinking about, Snow?"

"Nothing... just, some things," I brush his question off.

"That's surprising- Simon Snow has a thought!"

He chuckles at his own remark as if it was the best one-liner he had heard in a while as we speed through lanes. The sun is gone now and all that's left is rain and mud around us. We ride in silence for a moment until he abruptly stops in front of a muddy, open field. It's fenced and all in shambles- perhaps a ruined park?

"We're here," He gets out of the car and starts unloading the trunk.

The rain pours down on us, but I think he doesn't care about his Aubercy loafers getting wet, so I don't point it out. Handing me the smallest bag, he leads me to the center of the deserted plot.

"Baz... It's an empty field...?" I look at him, because, to be completely honest, I expected so much more, "And I'm too wet."

He gave me the weirdest look before connecting the dots, "Oh... oh! Crowley, Snow, do you even hear yourself when you speak?"

Okay, that sounded way too suggestive- my mistake.

"What is this anyway?" I laugh it off.

"You'll see," He states for the second time now as he takes out his wand with one hand and reaches for mine with the other.

"There is no place like home."

Everything turns bright and my insides feel like they're burning. Merlin, I had forgotten what magic felt like- what Baz's magic felt like. It had been ages since I had felt such strong power around me, if not within, and I think I didn't have the tolerance for it anymore. Too caught up in the fiery emanation of it all, I don't even think about what he meant by the word "home".
