It has been a while since the adeptus has last seen the God.
Today he was outside, killing hilichurls, clearing their camps, in order to protect Liyue.
But he kept thinking about the Gods words. Why should he protect something that only brings wars? Useless battles? He doesn't know, yet he's been doing this for so long, it seems like it's the only right choice.
He was walking around a small forest, filled with pretty flowers. He didn't know why he was there, he just came. He suddenly felt someone's presence, that someone being too familiar now.
He looks up and sees her laying on the grass and.... Sleeping?
He walked closer and sat down, looking at her peaceful face. What was she dreaming about?
The woman was a mystery to him, at first she states how she hates humans, being all intimidating, then she becomes childish, then starts getting all touchy, emotional and the list goes on. He wonders what's on her mind, having so many different moods.
"Stop staring, you creep."
His eyes widened. Was she awake the whole time?
"I wasn't staring. What are you doing?" He asks.
"Changing the subject so quickly? And to answer your question, I'm resting."
"Resting..?"
"Yeah, you know, from all the God stuff and that.." she answers.
"As far as I know, you barely do any "God stuff", (Y/N)."
"Tch.. actually you're right, but being a God is already tiring, and what brings you here, adeptus Xiao?" She asks, looking at him.
"Nothing. I came here for no reason."
"Ooh? Okay."
They stayed in awkward silence for a few seconds till Xiao, once again, spoke up.
"(Y/N), why do you not have a vision?"
"...hmmm... well as I told you before, I wasn't always a God, so since we would steal powers from the Archons, we didn't exactly receive a vision."
"Oh."
"Say Xiao, why do you want to know so much about me?"
"..."
"I was interested in your way of thinking." He answers. The God didn't look so pleased with his answer, and proceeded to look at the night sky. She then suddenly sat up.
She looked at him, and he looked back at her. Slowly she pulled her hands closer go the adeptus and hugged him.
The adeptus was shocked. Why? The only question he wad thinking about is why?
"(Y/N)..?"
"Xiao, we're friends aren't we. Please let's stay like this for a few moments."
He was confused, but maybe she had something tiring going through her head, and needed to relax, or something presence.
He slowly hugged her back, and they stayed like that for about five minutes, neither of them wanting to let go.
After some time if comfortable silence and hugging, (Y/N) seemed to have fallen asleep. The adeptus didn't know what to do with her, so he just gently layed her head on his lap and stayed there.
"You moron, what are you doing to me.." he looks away and blushes.
Xiao is cold and an angry person, yet something about you makes him melt inside.
