(Y/N), a goddess that the one and only adeptus Xiao has fell for. Was it for her looks, weird personality? He doesn't know, but day after day he feels more drawn to her than ever.
Sometimes he feels as if he's not giving enough attention to her, it's not that he doesn't want to, he just doesn't know how.
But today the adeptus is going to try taking the lead but first he had to find his beloved.
As always he checked the domain first. Nothing. Luhua pool? Nothing. Mt. Hualo? Nothing.
And she's once again nowhere to be found.
Xiao is growing tired of having to find her every day, you can never know where she is, always disappearing out of nowhere. She could've at least left a note or something.
He decides to wait for any signs of her at the Inn, maybe ask Verr if she knows anything, yet he doubts she would.
On his way to the Inn he suddenly hears a loud explosion. He immediately heads over to the place where the sound came from.
There you were. Explosions, slashes.
You were fighting. But who? Who were you fighting against? Were you in danger?
But you're a God. The enemy should be very strong if you can't take it down. Does it mean that he has failed to protect you as your partner?
He jumps off of the tree branch startling you and the enemy.
"Xiao? What are you doing here?" She asks.
"(Y/N), don't worry. I'll protect you!" He declares...but then he hears...laughing?
Oh, that laughter, truly music to his ears. Even in this situation he can't help but blush, but why are you laughing in the first place?
"I appreciate the offer, but I think you misunderstood something." She walks up to him.
"It seems that you were right, (Y/N). He really did change." Someone spoke, but Xiao knows that voice way too well.
"Morax??" His eyes widen.
Zhongli walks to the two crossing his arms.
"Please call me Zhongli."
"W-why are you both fighting?" The adeptus asks. Two Gods fighting? They could destroy the whole harbour on accident. Something bad must've happened.. or-
"Ah we were just testing my abilities! I haven't fought anyone or anything in so long! So I asked my dear old friend over here to accompany me!"
-or that.
"So this all was just to test your powers? Really..?" It's unbelievable how reckless this God is. He turned to Zhongli as if he's asking *why did you agree to do this*
"Don't worry, I was extra careful this time! Well... yeah kinda-" they all sweatdropped.
"Well I'm glad you're okay. I was searching for you anyways." After a while of silence Xiao spoke up.
"Aww you were worried!" She teases. Zhongli as a typical third wheeler decided to leave, now it's only the two lovers left.
"Hey Xi-" she gets cut off by Xiao taking her hand and leading her to who knows where.
(Y/N) looks at their hands, still oh so perfectly fitting in one another, her face reddened.
"Xiao.. where are you taking me?" She asks after a while of walking.
"You'll see, be patient." He states and she shuts up sweatdropping.
Finally Xiao stops walking and turns to (Y/N).
"W-what is it?"
"Could you please close your eyes for a moment. I want it to be a surprise, please do not peek." He asks turning away.
The Goddess had to stop herself from screaming because of how cute he was.
She replies with a small okay and closes her eyes, then she feels him take her hand gently and lead her somewhere, again.
A few minutes pass and they stop again.
"You can open your eyes now." He says shyly.
She slowly opens her eyes and then gasps. Qingce flowers all around them in this beautiful land, what a beautiful sight. The Goddess kept staring at the flowers and then looked at Xiao, who blushed and turned away.
"How did you find this place?" She keeps staring.
"I had nothing to do so I just walked around this area until I found this land.. do you like it?"
"It's stunning Xiao. Thank you."
She walks up to him and is about to kiss him on the cheek until he stops her. Her eyes widen, confusion written all over her face.
"Wait.. today, let me.." he looks at her eyes while she's staring back in shock.
He slowly leans in and gives her a small kiss on the lips, a few seconds later pulling back to see your reaction which hasn't changed. You still kept staring at him in shock.
"W-what??... I-I'm sorry was this too much?" He panicked but still no other reactions from you. You're still staring.
"S-Say somethi-" and you kissed him again.
"Xiao..I really really really really love you.." one kiss on the forehead, another on the cheek, another on the nose and on the lips.
Xiao is a blushing mess, he cannot this is way too much for him, too much happening in such a short time. He hugs her in attempt to hide his red cheeks and ears but she has already seen it all. She hugs back and they stay like this for a little while longer.
