It Was Nothing

"That doesn't re-jog anything?" Niall asked dejectedly.

I shook my head sadly. Him and Louis had just finished recounting a long, elaborate story about when we'd all gone paint-balling, but absolutely none of it sounded familiar.

"Well how about we try our day at Kings Island?" Louis suggested, trying to lighten the damp mood.

"We all went to Kings Island together?" I asked. Of course I remembered Kings Island, but from before ever moving to England.

"Yeah, we were in Ohio staying at Carson's house for a few days and you girls took us all to Kings Island for the day," Louis explained.

I nodded, trying to picture us all at Kings Island- trying to find the mental images- and failing.

"Well we got there pretty early, and it wasn't crowded at all. And the first thing we did was go on the really big snake one," Niall said, trying to search for the name. "I remember Harry was really scared."

"Diamondback?" I asked.

"Yeah, that one!" Niall visibly brightned. "But after that ride we all split up, right?"

"Yeah, Jas went off with Liam and Zayn. And you and Abby went off by yourselves. Carson, Harry and us stayed together though," Louis recalled.

"Did anything like extraordinary happen? Anything that would possibly jog my memory?" I asked.

Louis chewed on his lip as he thought. "I don't think so. It was a fairly normal day."

I sighed. "Well, it was worth a shot."

Louis P.O.V.

"Don't you think it's at least worth a shot?" I whispered in a rushed tone.

"No, Louis! You can't do that!" Liam replied, equally as annoyed.

"But what if it works? What then, Liam?"

"But it won't! Plus, even if it did, how do you think she would feel about it? Don't you think she'd be upset with you?" he argued.

I frowned, thinking over his words. They were logical, but I still thought my argument was right.

"But Liam, it could bring back her memory! Don't you think it's worth a shot?" I practically pleaded.

But Liam was firm as he shook his head. "No, Louis. It's a bad idea."

I huffed but trudged away, not wanting to argue with him anymore. I heard him walk down the hall and spun around just in time to see him disappear into Zayn's room.

I quickly scurried back down the hall, and dashed into Lex's unoccupied room. It was late and Paul had started forcing us to sleep at the hotel at least every once in a while. Tonight, Harry and Niall were there. Meaning I was alone with Lex.

I closed the door as I stepped inside.

"Hey Louis," she said softly. Lex seemed to have taken the most to me. But most likely because I was the one who was always here. Even if we hadn't still been dating, I still loved her. I mean, she'd been carrying our child.

"Good evening," I smiled, sitting down on the chair nearest to her bed.

We fell into a comfortable silence but I couldn't help the thought that kept nagging at me.

Should I do it? Or would she be upset?

Should I ask her?

Maybe Liam was right.
