"you've got to be kidding me." y/n huffed into her hands. "i did so much better."

"heh! no you didn't! i beat that extra!" bakugo pointed an accusing finger towards the girl.

y/n still refused to show anger, answering him earlier had done enough. she didn't want to show it bothered her. although, her blood boiled.

"you both balanced each other out on scores, end of. i don't want to heard another word."

both students fell silent after that. bakugo turned and quietly raged to himself, the only sound he emitted was the sparks from his palms. while all y/n anger flooded on the inside.

i had done better than him.

i'm better than him.

"now follow me back to the classroom." aizawa ordered and the class followed closely behind him.

upon reaching the classroom, each classmate took their seat and y/n was quick to grab a seat at the back of the class, not wanting to be anywhere near bakugo.

thankfully he had sat in the chair numbered 17 towards the front while y/n had snagged seat number 15 at the very back.

"hey." she greeted one of her desk mates with a smile. it had been a girl she had spoken to earlier about the theory of aizawa lying with the expulsion.

"hi, i'm yaoyorozu momo." the girl introduced herself kindly. y/n admired the girl for a moment, her black hair reached so far and she had height that made her look powerful.

"i'm y/n l/n." the winged girl answered back, finally taking her seat. she had turned to the girl who was already looking her way, ready to spark up a conversation. but aizawa was quick to interrupt the pair, gaining their eyes on him.

aizawa took his time when speaking, and to the collected looking y/n, it was annoying. she had a bad habit of impatience, causing her to tap her foot, hit her pen against the table, anything she could focused her mind on.

y/n decided to gently and slowly tap her foot against the hardwood floor of ua's classroom. this had been easily decided by the fact she didn't want to ruin her new pens just yet.

the morning had dragged out for an unbelievably long time, half the class almost falling asleep at their desks. even aizawa seemed to be fed up.

so when the school bell rang, signalling lunch time, everyone sighed in relief, finally escaping the deadly boring classroom. it seemed there was only few that enjoyed being in the classroom as much as being out on the field, few being izuku midoriya and tenya iida.

"l/n, would you mind walking to lunch together?" a gentle voice requested, she tired to face her classmate momo with a small smile plastered on her soft lips.

"of course." y/n nodded with glee, linking the arm momo had extended out for her to hold. the two girls then strode their way through the chairs and out of the classroom door.

momo and y/n didn't take long to discover the cafeteria, most likely due to the loud chatter echoing through the halls, getting louder with each step they took.

"so you were at the top of the leaderboard in the entrance exam, tied with bakugo." y/n groaned at the familiar words of tied and bakugo in the same sentence. of course it wasn't momo's intent to annoy the girl but her words most definitely were heard too often.

"i was and sadly yes." y/n's tone changed throughout her sentence, proud of herself for achieving first place but disappointed and irritated that she'd shared the top spot with another. "and you got in on recommendation? that's really impressive."

"thank you." a slight pink hue emerged on the girl's cheeks upon reviving the complement. "and yes i did, alongside todoroki."

a confused look appeared on y/n's face, hearing the unfamiliar name. momo took notice of this and explained to y/n who he was, the duel hair boy in their class.

with that, the black hair girl and y/n shared all the names and faces of students they knew before talking of other things on the walk to the cafeteria.

bakugo was now the last thing on y/n's mind. but y/n was the first thing on him. and he wasn't happy about it.
