"everyone!" a voice spoke through y/n and bakugo's mind as they continued to walk down the second half of the forest, badges in hand.
"it's mandalay's telepath." y/n whispered, her and bakugo coming to a sudden halt.
"we're being attacked by two villains! it's possible that there are more! everyone who can move, get back to camp immediately! even if you come across the enemy, retreat and do not engage!"
once her voice ended y/n shot up to the sky, taking in her surroundings. smoke rose from the deep within the forest and a pink gas grew closer to the pairs location.
"we need to go!" y/n yelled, dropping to the ground beside bakugo. "she said do not engage with the enemy, keep that in mind katsuki!" y/n breathed, the pair running through the dampened woods.
"what hero would let the villains run free?" he yelled back over to her, running at the same speed as y/n.
the gas seeped through the trees and was approaching the pair quickly. "wait!" y/n called, stopping in the middle of the path.
a boy from class b was unconscious, on the ground. "we need to help him." y/n insisted, pulling his limp body up by the arms. "what hero would leave an unconscious person in the middle of the woods?" bakugo tutted at her using his phrase against him, running over to help the girl get the boy up off of the ground.
y/n brought out her wings against, spreading them as bakugo set the boy on her back. she wrapped her wings around him tightly, hoping for no more gas to get into his lungs.
"...come...on." y/n pressed a hand against her mouth, the pair started to move once again. but at a much slower pace.
but it didn't take them long to stop once again, spitting another body in their way. they were crouched over something.
"hey, who was it in front of us?" bakugo's words were muffled as he spoke through his hands.
"tokoyami and...shoji."
a bloody hand laid out in front of the man as he mumbled in awe. "so pretty...so pretty...no, i have to work...i was captivated...oh no...what beautiful flesh...oh, don't tempt me." the man slowly got to his feet. "i have a job to do..."
they both looked in horror at the man before them, eyes and nose covered with only his mouth visible. hooks from every side of his mouth held his lips open, showcasing his teeth and gums.
"don't fight?"
"everyone in class a and class b! i'm the name of pro hero, eraser head, you are granted permission to engage in combat! i repeat! everyone is class a and class b! you are granted permission to engage in combat!"
"we have discovered one of the villains' targets." mandalay spoke through both their minds once again. "it is one of the students-'kacchan'!" y/n turned to the boy they were after, horror in her eyes. "'kacchan' should try to avoid combat and acting independently. understand, 'kacchan'?!"
"stop making so much noise min my head!" bakugo complained, charging for the villain who stood before them.
blades sprung from the villains mouth, as if it were his teeth. y/n acted quickly, while the boy still sat on her back she swooped in and grabbed bakugo. dragging him deeper into the forest.
"don't go rushing carelessly into anything! didnt you hear what she said? you being targeted! so deflate your ego and keep out of combat!"
"that damn deku did something. i just know it. saying 'fight' then 'don't fight'! i don't give a damn what anyone says!" veins popped from the boys head as he charged for the villain once more.
