"the boy you're talking about...i took him with my magic. this talent isn't someone who should be on the hero side. well take him to a stage where he can shine more."

"give him back!"

"'give him back'? that's a strange thing to say. bakugo doesn't belong to anyone. he's his own person, you egoist."

"give him back!" midoriya reappeared, his heart in his voice.

"move!" todoroki's ice fired towards the man who had taken the blonde. but he jumped from tree to tree effortlessly. avoiding each and every attack.

"we simply want to show him that the path he's on now with its fanatical values is not the only path he can take. kids these days are made to choose their paths based on their values."

shoji panicked, turing to find they hadn't just lost one student. "it's not just bakugo! l/n and tokoyami aren't here, either!"

"to go out of your way to talk to us...you're underestimating us."

"i was originally an entertainer, you know. it's a bad habit of mine. taking tokoyami was an improvisation on my part. moonfish...the man with the 'blade tooth'...he may not look it, but he's a cutthroat on death row who's appeal was dismissed. with a violent mature that trampled that cutthroat down one-sidedly, i decided that he was good, too. and watching l/n fight in the festival and to see how bakugo seemed to have an influence over her, she would be a great asset to help transfer bakugo over to our side."

"you bastard! don't take them!"

"midoriya! calm down! uraraka, take this guy." huge pillars of ice emerged from the ground where todoroki stood, a freezing cold breeze rushing through the forest.

"sorry tricks and running away are my only redeeming features! there's no way i'd fight students who are hero candidates. vanguard action squad! target successfully collected! it was just a short while, but with this, our show has come close! as arranged, head to the retrieval point in the next five minutes!"

"'come to a close'...?"

"no! i won't let you! i won't let you get away!"

the group then charged in the direction the man had disappeared into, alongside bakugo, l/n and tokoyami.

"damn, this magician guy is fast!"

"if only iida was here!"

"there hero course students are not as big of a deal as i thought they'd be." the man spoke to himself as he leaped through the air, from tree to free.

"damn it!"

"we can't...give up...we have to catch up...and get them back! but at this rate he's just getting farther away!"

"uraraka, make us float! and then, asui, throw us as far as you can with your tongue!" midoriya spoke of his quickly thought plan. "shoji, use your arms to correct our trajectory and pull us! uraraka, measure the distance with your eyes and release your wuick when the time looks about right!"

"i see. a human bullet, huh?"

"wait, deku! you're still going to move with those injuries?"

"midoriya." todoroki called, his lags pushing him forwards as fast as he could. "you stay here. with that pain, you're in not state to-"

"i don't feel pain right now. i can move...hurry!"

"deku, at least let me do this...!" ochaco ripped her blouse, revealing the vest beneath. using the torn fabric, she wrapped it tightly around the boy's broken arms with a plank of wood either side to keep them from getting more damaged.

tsu wrapped her tongue around him and the two other boys, preparing to launch them into the air. uraraka had them all float while wrapped, slowly rising into the air.

"okay, tsu."

"make sure you save those three, ribbit!"

their bodies when flying through the air, shoji took a hold of each boy, dismissing the possibility that they separate in the air.

the three collided with the villains body, causing all for to plummet to the ground. unfortunately, three other villains now surrounded them and watched curiously.

"give them back!" midoriya yelled furiously crying the three of gj holding the male down. not taking notice of the other three in front of them.

"i know these kids! who are they?"

"mister, get out of the way."

blue flames shot towards the group of students, having them spread out to allow the fire past. "midoriya! shoji!"

"faces from shigaraki's kill list! that little beat-up boy and you!"

in a small dip in the ground, not fair from the group. the villain holding their friends re emerged. "ow.." he yelped, "i cant believe you flew so far to chase after me. your ideals are far out!"

"where's bakugo?"

the man reached into his pocket, but failed to find the orbs that held the three he had captured.

shoji held three orbs in his hand, the two other boys smiled in happiness. already beginning their escape. but from the reaction of the villain, their expressions fell.

the warp gate appeared, each villain stepping in one by one, disappearing out of sight. "wait. our goal is not yet-"

"they seemed so happy to wish out of here, so i gave them a present. it's a habit? you me of the basics in magic. when i flaunt something, it's because their is something i don't want you to see."

his tongue extended, where three blue, glassy orbs sat tightly. "no way!"

a laser was sent through the air, knocking one of the three orbs out of the man's mouth and onto the floor. aoyama.

"confirm it now, release these."

a click had tokoyami appear with the students while a frightened l/n and an angered bakugo were pulled into the portal.

"don't come, deku."
