-Amber's POV-

I just stood there. Stunned. Nico was beside me, he had seen the hole thing.

I looked down at the necklace in my hand. The sea green pearl shimmered in the light of the moon. I slowly un clutched the back and slipped it on. The metal was cool and tingled my skin.

"What do you think he meant by power" I asked looking up at Nico. His almond eye gazing into mine. We only stood a few inches apart. I blushed and stepped back.

We've been doing that a lot lately. Standing closer and closer. I always get an overwhelming urge to close the distance.

"Could be anything" he replied obviously deep in thought. As we walked back towards the cabins an awkward silence fell between us.

I looked over at Nico, he seemed distracted and far off. He didn't even realize we had made it to his cabin. I pretty much dragged him up the steps.

"Oh sorry" he mumbled.

"That's ok" I replied. Another awkward silence. I noticed how non of the other kids where outside. In fact I didn't see any of the cabins lights on.

Suddenly an ear piercing cry brook the night. Quickly Nico grabbed me, threw open the door to his cabin dragged me inside and shut the door behind us.

Nico's hands where holding my waist and I was very close to him. My hands rested on his chest. I could feel his breath on my neck, its warmth spread along with the electricity I always get when Nico touches me.

"We have been at the beach to long the harpies are out." he curses under his breath.

"Wait I'm stuck in here until morning" I ask. He nods his head. Then he realized his hands where on my waist. quickly he lets go. The second he lets go I feel cold, like super cold.

"So.." he says while scratching the back of his neck. The muscles on his arm flexed and I couldn't help but stare .

"So." I repeat a feeling of discomfort set over me. I noticed that Nico was staring at me. Quickly he shook his head as if he had been deep in thought.

"You can sleep in my bed since it is the only one made. I have some spare blankets in the closet and I'll just throw them on Hazels bunk." he said making his way over to a small door.

I took my first look around the room. Inside the cabin the beds where coffin shaped with blood red pillows and sheets. There is also a small shrine with bones and jewels. The faint glow of the green torches from out side gave the place and eerie look.

"Your cabin is creepy" I say. He looks up from spreading sheets on a bunk. He looks shocked, then a small smile starts to tug at his lips.

"Your smiling" I say, a smile threatening its way on my lips. Now Nico had a full on smile and even though he tried to hide it he couldn't.

"Is that all you think of me, creepy" he asks. Tilting his head in the cutest way.

"No. Just your cabin" I say with a shrug. I make my way over to the only other bed made and sit down.

Nico continues to fix his makeshift bed. I just sort of sit on the bed. My eyes grow heavy. As much as I tried to not fall asleep I did.

I don't remember falling asleep but I sure as tartus remember the dream.
