'Her bright emerald eyes that usually sparkled with admiration and hope now carried a burdened sorrow and glossed over with a pool of tears on the verge of spilling. Needles pricked at her broken heart as she clenched her fists and flounced over to her boyfriend. She gripped his shoulder and peeled his body off the younger female's and lifted her hand. A resounding slap echoed throughout the room as the palm of her hand contact-'

"Keiji isn't that enough for now?" Bokuto whined from the couch.

Akaashi shifted his eyes from the bright glow of his laptop screen to the tall male laying down on the burgundy couch. Bokuto placed his hands on the hand rest of the couch and placed his chin on top of his hands. He rhythmically swung his feet back and forth, kicking his butt with his heel every once in a while.

Akaashi sighed and returned to typing on his laptop. "I'm almost done," he replied.

Bokuto stumbled up from the couch and made his way over to behind Akaashi. He slightly bent down and squinted his eyes to make out the tiny black letters forming on the screen.

'...her hand contacted the soft skin of the tall blonde male. Tingles surged through her red hand as the male's eyes widened...'

Bokuto lifted his hand up and pulled down the lid of the laptop.

"Kou!" Akaashi exclaimed, pulling his hands out in the nick of time.

Bokuto shut down the top and placed his fists on his hips as a wide grin spread across his face.

Akaashi pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and crossed his arms while glaring at Bokuto, visibly disappointed by the older male's actions.

"I told you I was almost done," Akaashi said.

The grin fell off Bokuto's face. He tugged at Akaashi's arms, and Akaashi uncrossed them. Bokuto's hands gently took in Akaashi's fingers as his doe-eyes widened even more and his lips curled down into a light frown.

"But it's been foreverrrrrrr!" Bokuto whined.

Akaashi's eyes grew wide as a loud grumble filled the silent room, and a pink hue tinted along Bokuto's cheekbones. His left hand let go of Akaashi's fingers and fell to the side as he rubbed the back of his neck with the other.

"And I'm hungry...," Bokuto mumbled, touching his pointer fingers together.

Akaashi chuckled and placed a small kiss on Bokuto's cheek. He picked up his phone laying face down on the table and glanced at the large white numbers staring back at him.

6:57

He sighed, placed his phone down, and walked over to the kitchen, which was just a few feet away. He stood on his tip toes and reached for the little black knob on one of the brown cupboards above stoves. He picked out two round light blue bowls with a glistening white interior and set them down on the granite countertop.

Akaashi glanced over towards Bokuto, who seemed confused by his actions as he leaned against the rough white wall.

"Wanna help?" Akaashi asked, raising an eyebrow.

The owl looking male's eyes lit up at the unexpected offer. "Yeah!"

But as the smile on Bokuto's face turned into a pout, Akaashi knew Bokuto's desires had changed. Akaashi sighed as he turned to completely face Bokuto.

"What's wrong?" Akaashi asked.

"I wanna eat cake...," Bokuto mumbled.

"Cake?" Akaashi asked incredulously.

Bokuto's shoulders slumped down. "I knew you'd say no."

"I didn't say no..."

Bokuto eyes grew wide, and Akaashi smiled at the shimmering sparkles that returned to those bright honey colored eyes.

Without hesitation, Bokuto ran over and practically tackled Akaashi, engulfing him into a large enthusiastic hug. Bokuto's arms squeezed Akaashi's lean structure even tighter as his emotions took over him.

"Koutarou...I can't...breathe," Akaashi managed to get out through ragged breaths.

Bokuto quickly unwrapped his arms and apologized. "Oh sorry Keiji! I just got too excited!!"

Akaashi lightly giggled. "It's okay. Now could you do me a favor and grab the flour from the cabinet over there?"

Akaashi pointed towards a little cabinet down the kitchen, and Bokuto dashed towards it and yanked it open by the small knob. He grabbed the large white bag of flour and heaved it back to where Akaashi was setting up the eggs, milk, and butter. Bokuto set the bag down on the counter with a soft thump and placed his fists on his hips as a triumphant grin spread across his face.

Akaashi glimpsed at Bokuto in his peripheral vision while measuring the baking soda, but almost dropped the measuring spoon as a snort escaped from his nose. He then set down the box of baking soda and teaspoon as he turned to face Bokuto, a smile forming on his lips as he bit the bottom one to keep from laughing.

"What?" Bokuto asked, completely confused.

That was all it took for Akaashi to break through his demeanor and burst out laughing. Bokuto awkwardly shifted his gaze and placed his arms down his side as he cluelessly watched the ravenette in front of him.

"How did...you get flour...all over your...face and t-shirt...just by CARRYING IT?!!?" Akaashi breathed through his laughs as he hunched over.

Bokuto's eyes darted down to his clothes, and he noticed a large smear of white specks followed by smaller blobs of white coat the front of his black tee.

Tears formed at the corner of Akaashi's eyes as the male practically collapsed to his knees. "AHHH my stomach...hurts!!"

"Well...," Bokuto said, slowly approaching the counter. "...I think I deserve a laugh too."

Akaashi barely had time to register Bokuto's words as a fistful of white powder landed on his midnight black hair and covered the soft skin on his face. Akaashi's joyous rollicking abruptly stopped as he breathed out of his mouth to relieve himself of any raw flour inside him.

"HAHAHAHAHA I GOT YOU...SO GOOD!!!!" Bokuto yelled through his laughs as he himself started laughing.

(Oh how the turntables...sorry i HAD to add the reference)

His exotic blue-green eyes burned with a competitive spirit as he reached into the half full flour bag and scooped up a handful of it. Without hesitation, he flung the dusty substance at the spiky haired male and watched him shake his head and exhale out of his nose as it traveled up his nostrils.

"Nice try Kou...I win!" Akaashi smirked as Bokuto ran his left hand - which was clean - down his face to wipe off the excess flour.

"Fineeeeeee," Bokuto surrendered as he stood up. "Can we make the cake now?!"

Akaashi chuckled and nodded before looking around the kitchen and up and down his and Bokuto's clothes.

"Yes," he said. "But let's clean up first."
