*Mysterious Point of View
'Dumb kids!' I fumed 'How did they manage to fool me! Everything was planned out perfectly! Fool-proof! Yet they still managed to outsmart me!' As I thundered down the hallway I saw my minions cringe in fear, and then hastily bow as I passed by. Fear is a great weapon to those who know how to wield it. I walk up to a heavy, black, metal door. The guards parted and bowed their heads. I walked up, and unlocked the door by entering the combination and letting the scanner scan my eyes, thumb, and whole body. The door slides open by itself, and i enter the small stuffy room. The door closes behind me. In the middle of the room chained to the floor was a frail woman. Her hair that used ti be neatly in a bun was now all over the place. He whole body was drenched in sweat. There was scars and bruises all over her body, but what surprised me was that she was crying. The sound of her crying was one filled with sympathy, not for herself but others. It was filled with sincere pain and mourning. Like finding a loved one after so long, only to lose them again. Permanently. My heart softened. I felt like a little innocent child again. I instinctively reached out to comfort her, but then a voice hissed in my head "Do not fall for her facade. Remember all the times she showed you up. What has she done for you? Let her suffer. Let her feel the pain you went through. She deserves it." All of a sudden all the bad memories flashed before my eyes, and it fuel my anger. My heart turned back to stone. The woman screamed out in agony. The chains fed on my emotions. The chains had wrapped around her tightly like a snake, and burned her skin like a hot stove. I took a deep breath, and the chains went back to normal. The woman collapsed to the floor. I sneered.
"Why?" she croaked at me painfully, her eyes filled with unshed tears. "All this for what purpose?"
"You know why, woman!" I told her. I was starting to head towards the door when I heard her say,
"I this isn't you. After all that I taught you. This isn't you." she spoke. I spun around angrily and faced her. My nostrils flared. I took small menacing steps toward her
"HOW DARE YOU?!" I roared "What you knew was the old me. The old naive me who thought that everyone was my friend. This is the real me. The better me. Old me doesn't even exist." I grabbed her hair, pulled her head back, and got into her face smirking.
"Any other comments from your blasted face?" I sneered.
"Yes," she replied calmly "Is this really the real you? Is new you really better than old you?" I hated how she said that. It seemed like she had peered into my soul and found that twinge of doubt and insecurity. This was a question I had asked myself many times. That voice in my head had always been there to reassure me, but this time the voice was silent. As if the woman had somehow subdued the voice temporarily. I felt challenged. I felt threatened. So out of anger and fear I threw her head back, spun on my heels, and made my way out the door which opened with a flick of my wrist. I thundered down the hallway and locked myself into my room. I let out a deep breath that I didn't know I was holding. Fear is a great weapon to those who know how to wield it.
