We were back on top of Sagar again after I gained my prize. The prize was a charm bracelet. I got nothing to say about it. Apparently, the people of Hiba are very superstitious.  They believe in a super natural world. They believe that the useless bracelet wards off something they call Won-Waks. Won-Waks are ghosts of the evil. This world is magical but this! This is ludicrous!  This is deranged! Everybody knows that there is no such thing as Won-Waks! They only thing this bracelet is for is to be pretty and useless! The bracelet was a baby blue string which was tied to a charm that looked like a black eye. I got to give them credit for being creative but what about hands so the bracelet can shoo away the Won-Waks. Get it? Shoo away? Oh, never mind! I got so absorbed in my thoughts that I didn’t realize till now that we landed in the Karpoforos Dessert. True to its name the dessert was very fruitful.  There were dessert flowers, plants and wildlife in every nook and cranny at this dessert.

“Where do we go to find the Eye of the Goddess?” asked Tom questionably.

“Yeah, the Karpoforos Dessert is quite massive.” added Yedana.

“Hmm.” I replied thinking. All of a sudden my amulet began to glow and then my eye sight was zooming across the Karpoforos dessert. I scanned the area and found the Eye of the Goddess inside a…hole?! Soon my vision turned back to normal.

“Apparently what we need is inside a hole.” I told them matter-of-factly.

“Do you know where the hole is?” asked Tom hopefully.

“Yes, it’s over there.” I answered pointing to the west.

“Then let’s get walking then.” said Yedana acting overly enthusiastic. We weaved our way through prickly cacti, delicate wild flowers, stinging scorpions, creepy lizards, horrid snakes, endearing baby animals and many more wildlife. After many hours of weary walking, Yedana cooing and awing about EVERY LITTLE wildlife she sees and Tom buzzing complaints in my ear about EVERY LITTLE thing we finally made it! I don’t know how but I knew it was the right hole. We hooped inside the hole and were amazed to find many underground tunnels. On the walls were strange markings. I put my keen and observant eye sight to work. The wall in front of me showed an army of different type of fighters. I noticed a pattern in the archers’ part. While the rest of the army left their weapons unused the archers’ bows and arrows were in the right position and they looked like their ready to shoot. I thought about this for a while. Then it hit we like lightning! The archers’ are pointing to the way we have to go to find the Eye of the Goddess!

“Eureka! I got it! Follow me guys!” I told them brightly. We followed the way the archers’ arrow was pointing. We followed that direction till we came to a fork in the road. I study the picture on the wall. This time it was a scene that took place in the throne room. Everyone was facing forward and bowing down to the king while the king stood up straight with his specter. His specter was straight up too.

“This way!” I informed pointing north. We walked for a while till we came to a wall. The only option was eastward but I examined the scene on the wall anyway. It showed a scene from a party. Everyone’s cups were raised except for one. That one cup pointed…westward?! I looked to the left side of me. There was only a wall there. I walked up to the wall and saw an image. It was a golden cup. I traced the outlines of the cup and then gave it a firm upward. The image traveled up and so did the wall. Yedana and Tom stared back and forth between me and the open wall. I motioned for them to follow me. We walked and walked until we stopped in front of another sandy brick wall. This time there were no scenes. There were no pictures. There were no clues to tell us what to do. Only a strong sandy brick wall with a diminutive hole shaped like an eye. I was confused. No I was beyond frustrated. We came all this way to see a wall! I paced back and forth trying to make sense of the situation. My sixth sense -gut instinct-told me that what I’m looking for is behind that wall. But how do I get behind that wall. I paced back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Yedana and Tom watched me intensely with their eyes going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.

“Hey, the eye on your prize bracelet looks like it can fit inside that hole.” commented Tom after a long moment of silence.

“That’s correct! Try putting that charm inside that hole! Maybe it will do something that will help us.” added Yedana suggestively. I smiled and nodded. I pinched the string to together and they automatically revolved around each other to make what looked like the handle of a key. That was odd. I promise you I didn’t do anything! It did it by itself! Oh well. Let’s just get on with this. I stuck the charm inside the diminutive hole and instantly it began to glow and the slides up to reveal a majestic room.

“Do NOT touch anything!” I warn as we step cautiously. We made to the middle of the room. There placed on top of a hill of stones was the Eye of the Goddess. Yedana and Tom stand on the edge of the small mountain of stones and watch me. I quickly, skillfully and quietly make it to the top. I cautiously and delicately remove the ancient object off its “mountain of glory”. Soon it began to glow and a blue ghostly woman came out of the Eye of the Goddess. She wore a green crown of olive leaves on top of her head and a long flowing blue toga.

“Thou have trespassed into this sacred land! So I, Goddess Fyta cur-” She began. She stops mid sentence to take a look at me. Then she breaks out in a smile.

“Finally it’s not some nosy scientist, good-for-nothing thief, or some greedy rich guy! It’s a girl who deserves the Eye of the Goddess! It’s a girl with a heart as pure as the Safis River.” chatters Goddess Fyta. I look at her confused.

“I only curse people who don’t deserve the Eye of the Goddess or my third eye. Like those two there.” She explained nodding towards two people tied up on the right side of the room. They wore everything just like Jessica and Blade but the only difference with this man and woman was that they have blood red hair.

“They drilled a hole through the side of the wall and broke in. They tried to grab my third eye but I cursed them so they can never leave this room.” explained Goddess Fyta amused at the two’s failed attempts. “And watch this.”

“Sweep this room for me please!” hollered Goddess Fyta to her captives.

“Why would we-” began the man. Soon a broom was in the man’s hand and he was sweeping away like a pro. He worked so fast that after two minutes he was done and the floor was sparkly clean.

“What just happened?”asked Tom confused.

“They’re under my command so they have to do my bidding. It is impossible for them to refuse. Want to see it again?” explained Fyta.

“Go clean the objects in this room.” order the Goddess to the captive woman.

“Don’t tell me-” began the woman aggravated. All of a sudden a duster was in her hand and she was cleaning away like she used to be a maid. Before you can say ‘Peter piper didn’t pick a patch of pickled peppers before his mama said that if he didn’t he won’t get pie for dinner.’  she was done and everything was sparkly clean.

“That’s so cool! I bet if my mom was here she would ask you how you do that!”commented Yedana awed.

“We wish we can stay but we have to get on with our quest.” I spoke up.

“Oh well, it was nice having all of you.” she said. “You can go out through the shortcut.” She pushed the wall behind her and it swung up like a door.

“Take really good care of my third eye got it?” ordered Fyta.

“Yes ma’am.” replied Tom playfully giving her a salute.  Fyta rolled her eyes playfully. I summoned Sagar and we hopped on top of his back.

“Good bye!” called Goddess Fyta as we lifted into the air.

“Good bye!” we all called back and off we flew.
