Sharp As A Tiger, Quick as a Dragon [PERMANENTLY UNCOMPLETED]

Chapter 20: He has a brain...(O.o)

Recap:

Cynthia, Tom, and Yedana sneak into Raider's lair aka a hi-tech cave lab filled with identical looking minions (except for the hair color) to get back the second spear of the sacred moon. Cynthia gets caught, and Raider sends Loki and Eris (the two minions that stole the spear) to find Yedana. He chains her with magic chains so she won't be able to do magic, and reveals his plans to take her precious items that the gang collected, and then destroy her brutally. Then, he uses her sister Yedana to make her hand the items that she needs to save her dear dragon friends, saying if she doesn't give them up he will kill her sister right before her eyes and it will be all her fault. And just when Cynthia was about to hand them over, they all hear a loud THUD! And as the look what made the sound, what they saw surprised them all.

There he was, standing there near the control panel in all his glory with a painfully tied Eris and Loki by his side. And to think that the first thing I thought was 'He has a brain,....and he's using it....AHHH!' To think that one day our hero that saved us from death and failure was none other than the clown who's name isn't Franky or Bob, but Tom. He smiled widely at us as he pressed a button, and the next thing you know, I'm free. I slowly stand up and try to steady my wobbly legs. The next thing he did surprised even me. He made a motion to press a certain button, and well Raider's eyes went wide, he dropped Yedana and lunging at Tom he screamed an ear-piercing,

"NOOOO!!!" And before you know it Tom pressed the button, raced to us, helped Yedana up, grabbed us and weaved our way towards the exit. All the while a monotone voice of a lady said,

"Self-destruct in

3..." Poor Raider. The rat was frantically trying to override the command. But nothing seemed to work.

1" BOOOM! Went the whole place as we lunged into the forest and into safety at the last second. Cliche? I know. But hey! That is exactly what happened! We stayed low until we were sure that it was safe. And the moment it was we took the first chance we got on top of Nightshade-a night dragon-and flew off into the night. It will be a while till I explore another cave again.

We were all laying on Nightshade's back when I sat up and cursed,

"Shoot!"

"What happened?" asked Yedana worriedly.

"THE SPEAR WAS STILL IN THE CAVE!!" I yelled into the now-not-so-queit sky fustrateingly.

"Don't worry," said Tom causally "I already got that covered." And saying that he reached into my bag and pulled out a silver spear. Yedana and I were staring at it like it just fell from the sky.

"But-but-but-HOW?!" I yelled in shock.

"See the reason why I was so late to rescue you," explained Tom calmly.

"Was because you had to time it perfectly?" questioned Yedana curiously.

"Yes that too," replied Tom "But also because I was looking for the spear, and I found it in some kind of dungeon or jail cell."

"I don't know what crime the spear commited but it was behind bars!!" joked Tom, laughing at his own joke. Me and Yedana looked at each other, and rolled our eyes. Making such bad jokes should be a serious crime.

"Anyways, I hit the guard over the head with a club that I found lying on the ground inside the forest, took his keys, opened the chamber, grabbed the spear, and came to find you guys in a hot mess. Which, may I add, I got you out of. No need to thank me." explained Tom comicly.

"Okay then Mr. Sherlock, then please tell me how the spear that you rescued ended up in my bag?" I asked sharply.

"Simple. I just slipped it in while we were running for our lives." answered Tom causally.

"Okay then," I said placing the spear back into my bag "Now only one more spear to rescue. Let's hope that nothing nasty happens."

'Fat chance," I thought 'Even I know that's there is a 0.0000000000000000000001% chance of that ever happening." I took out the map and I try to locate where the thrid spear will be. 'La Mystérieuse Forêt' I read. 'Hmm, who knows what we'll find there.'

"Off to the Mysterious Forest we go!" I announced and we sailed off.

"Cynthia, Tom, wake up! We're here," said a quiet voice.

"Eh, 5 more minutes." I groaned drowsily. Big mistake. SPLASH!

"I'M AWAKE!" I screamed as I rolled off Nightshade. Man, what is it with people pouring buckets of water on me while I sleep! Can't a person sleep without worrying that they might be drowning in water when they wake up! Luckily, Nightshade caught me with her wing before I hit the ground and broke a couple of bones. After I regained my balance and stood on solid ground, I look to find a laughing hyena [Yedana], and a bat whose eardrums have just exploded [Tom].

"Not funny!" I said discreetly while wiping off imaginary dust.

"So funny!" argued Yedana still laughing.

"So painful!" commented Tom clutching his ears and shaking his head. So you might be a little bit confused. Well, this how it goes. During our ride to the forest, Tom and I fell asleep. While Yedana being the big nerd she is decided to take out her hi-tech wireless laptop and do some research on La Mystérieuse Forêt. And she thought it was funny to drench me in freezing cold water! A little push or shake would have done the trick you know!

"Where did you get the water from anyway?" I asked curiously.

"From the river right there," she said pointing at a river that's only a short walking distance away.

"Oh okay," I said looking at it.

"Well then, get down you slow pokes! We got places to go, bad guys to defeat, and things to retrieve! Come on now!" I urged them. Yedana and Tom then slid down from Nightshade unto the ground, and waited as I returned her to her Dragon Card. And then we walked together into the thicket of trees.
