Chapter Four: Mindless Zombies ate my Veggies!

Author's Note: So how was your day today? Your comments on the last chapter really made my day. Some comments made me laugh. I slowly open my eyes. I was lying on a single bed covered by a blue bed sheet. I groan. My head is throbbing like crazy! "It's about time you woke up sleepyhead!" said a familiar voice playfully. I look to the right side of the bed I am sleeping on. There sitting up on a bed just like mine was the one and only Yedana! I sit up on my bed my head resting on the head-rest. I look around and realize that I'm in the hospital room inside my house. "What Happened?! How did I get here?" I ask Yedana confused. "You don't remember your famous act?" said Yedana amused. "What act?!" I asked extremely confused now. "Thank you little sister for standing up for me!" thanked Yedana giving me a hug. Then everything came flooding back to me. Oh. "That's why I'm here!" I say remembering. "I only have one question Sis." began Yedana. "What?" I ask. "What happened exactly? One second you're standing there on the sidewalk. The next thing I know your floating high above the whole town and your amulet's glowing and you look like you're going to murder Mike and his friends." she asks. "I really don't know." I answer just as confused as she was "I really don't know how I did that." All of a sudden Tom comes bursting through the door and ran up to my bed. "Good afternoon Sleeping Beauty!" greets Tom playfully. "Afternoon?!" I ask startled. I look at the clock. It's 1:30 PM. I passed out at aproximentally 8:30 AM. I can't believe I slept for 6 hrs! I chuckle. "I really need to work on breaking my nocturnal sleeping habits!" I say jokingly. Tom and Yedana chuckles at my little joke. "Where's Mike and his little posse?!" I ask coldly. "We found them in a big hole in the road. We locked them up in a high security prison cell and only feed them bananas. So they started acting like monkeys and soon mindless zombies invaded town and broke into their cells, cracked open their skull and ate their brains for lunch." joked Tom. Yedana began to giggle softly. "I didn't even know they had brains!" I replied smirking. I can hear Yedana snickering. "Yah, They do have brains except their brains are the size of a pea." answered Tom. "Zombies ate their veggies! Man, if I known that I wouldn't have to eat my veggies. I can just stick it in a zombie's mouth!" I joked faking a shocked expression. Yedana burst out laughing not being able to contain herself. Her laughing was contagious and soon I and Tom joined her.

"High security prison cell!"

"Bananas!"

"Monkeys!"

"Zombies!"

"Cracked Skull!"

"Lunch!"

'Brains!"

"Peas!"

"Veggies!"

All this laughing reminded me about the time when I first became friends with Tom. It was right after I dueled him when I was six.

*Flashback*

"I won Tom and now you will have to leave me alone!" I say victoriously. He sighed.

"I'm sorry I bullied you." he whispered. I looked at him shocked. Did he just apologize to me?!

'I didn't mean to hurt you." he continued "My parents are barely home most of the time. I am an only child, so I am lonely and angry. I'm sorry Cynthia. I always took out my anger on you. I'm truly sorry." I thought about what he said. I know how it feels to be with a loving parent. You feel so.....complete. You only need your parents love and you fell like everything is alright. I felt sad that Tom doesn't get to spend a lot of time with his parents.

"You want to be my friend?" I asked. He seemed surprised for a sec. but next thing you know there's a huge smile on his face as he accepted. I hugged him and he patted my back. I am the type of person of liked to make people happy and make them feel good. Seeing Tom so happy made me happy.

*End of Flashback*

Mom came rushing in to see what was all the commotion. When she saw us she smiled as she shook her head. Yedana and I were lying on our beds and Tom was lying on the floor and we were all laughing our heads off. "Good Grief!" she said chuckling. After a while we calmed down a little. "So Yedana, how are your bruises coming along?" asked Tom. "The nurse says that it might take three-five weeks for them to heal completely." answers Yedana giving us a sad smile. My heart broke to see her all sad. "Well, I got a cure to make you heal faster." he replied grinning. That's when I noticed a black and white stripped book that he was clutching. He looked at me with a dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Oh no." I groaned

"Oh yes!" he replied grinning wider. He opened his book and began to search for a specific page.

"After what happened to you today I was doing some research." explains Tom while he continued his search 'You have some awesome powers Cynthia." "Thanks! I always knew I was awesome!" I joked. Tom rolled his eyes at me. "Ah here it is! Cynthia if you touch Yedana's bruises and chant these healing spells Yedana is going to be cured!" he exclaimed. "Yeah okay, on one condition." I compromise. Everyone groaned. I chuckled. "Is that a library book?" I ask pointing to the book Tom clutched. "No, the library gave it to me for free at the book fair. No one wanted it so they gave it to me when I asked for it." answered Tom confused. "Can I have it?" I ask. Everyone started to laugh. "That's it?!" Mom and Yedana asked. "Says the people who groaned when I asked!" I snapped playfully. "Here," Tom said as he handed over the book. "I was going to let you keep it anyway." So I touch Yedana's bruises as I chant:

Scars and Bruises

All over this soul

Make them Vanish

Make them go

Heal this creature

Clear all its pain

Heal all scars

Heal all blains

After I chanted the healing spell I looked at Yedana and I stood there shocked.

Authors Note: Good/Bad? For those who don't know, a blain is a skin swelling or sore; a blister; a blotch. I tried my best with the spell. Hopefully It sounded like a spell. Hope you enjoyed! =P
