Tornado landed in a sandy desert. I jumped off of him first and examined the land in front of me. The sun beat down on us at extreme levels and the sand in this dessert was dusty and dry. Mountains bordered the landscape but no sign of wildlife were found. A trickle of water that formed into a slivery stream flowed in between two mountains and it flowed past the mountain making it impossible for us to see where it's going from where we were standing.
"We follow the water." I decided. Yedana and Tom only nodded as I return Tornado to his Dragon card. I motion for them to follow me and we make our way toward the mountains. The pass between the two mountains were two narrow; we would have to climb the mountains. Using my summoning power, I summon a long, heavy duty rope. Placing the rope in my mouth, I shift into my tiger, and begin to climb the mountain. I go halfway up and shifted back. I held onto one end and let the other end dangle. Yedana grabbed the other end and began to pull herself up. Then, I helped her to her feet and we began to repeat the process with Tom. After they both stood safely on the ledge, I shift back into my tiger and climb to the top. Then shift beack and help Tom and Yedana up with the help of my handy dandy rope.
"When I shift this time, hop on my back and hold on tight. I'll give you a ride down." I tell them handing Yedana the rope which she places in her bag. I shift and wait as they climb aboard. Tom puts his arms around my neck and Yedana puts her arms around Tom's neck.
'Hold on tight!' I think to myself, chuckling. Then I whoosh down the mountain, with my two bestfriend holding onto me very tightly. After a about 15 minutes my paws hit the ground. Tom and Yedana quickly slid off. I soon shifted back.
"Let's go." I said and began walking to the stream and walked alongside of it. I quickly observed that the stream was getting bigger and bigger. Soon it morphed into a river. I say down on my knees and let my fingers feel the flow of the water. I began to make circles and let my fingers feel the soothing and cold river water. All of a sudden the water rose REALLY high. I moved back and accidentally bumped into Tom and Yedana's legs. I didn't even notice that they were standing right behind me and watching me.
"Sorry" I apologized.
"It's okay." answered Tom and Yedana nodded acknowledgingly. All of the water fell but a glob of water levitated above the Verdad River. We watched as the water twist and turn until it formed a-a-a...man?! Yes it formed a man that was wearing something that men would have wore in Ancient India. A black turban covered his head. He wore a sea blue knee length tunic with a black trouser/pants and sea blue slipper type shoes. He had a one of those swords that are has a slightly curved blade inside a sheath which was attached to his black belt that was around his waist.
"Who has dared to venture to the Verdad River. Face me, the River Spirit of Truth!" he roared.
"Um, I guess that's us." answered Tom nonchalantly.
"Oh, I see that the Tiger has chosen a new Dite." He commented looking at me.
"Yes, my name is Cynthia and these are my friends Yedana and Tom." I introduced.
"Hello sir," greeted Yedana politely.
"Hey." said Tom waving.
"Saalam." the man answered. "My name is Mahana Saccai but everyone calls me Verdad."
"As in the Verdad River." Tom asked questionably.
"Yes, Yes!" the man answered "Exactly! I'm the Truth Spirit of the Verdad River."
"What's a truth spirit?" I asked confused.
"It's a spirit that is able to tell if you're lieing or telling the truth. Or if you're a honest person or have a heart of a criminal." answered Yedana dramatically.
