Bugs bunny #10 (2/2)

It was now months since Marie came to work at the office and she was still the same little witch she always was, bitter and always trying to get under your skin. Bugs had proposed to you and you were really excited to marry him, he was the love of your life and Marie couldn't spoil that. You decided not to stoop to her level and so you invited her.

One afternoon, whilst you were trying on your wedding dress and posing in front of a mirror, you got a text on your phone. It was Marie. She wanted you to come over and she said she had made the cake for you two. You were a bit suspicious but agreed to see her.

Later, you arrived at her house.

 "Hey! I got the text saying you made the cake" you smiled.

 "Oh yeah! Come in" she smiled maliciously.

When you came in, you stopped to marvel in awe at the glorious confection she had just created.

 "Wow" you sighed. "It's beautiful"

 "What? Didn't know I took cooking classes?" She smirked.

 " thank you! " you said gratefully to her. Maybe she wasn't all bad. 

She was brandishing a large knife and spreading icing on the cake with it.

 "Here, (y/n), hold this for a moment" she said as she handed you the knife. "I'm gonna get some more...EEK! IS THAT A MOUSE?" she screamed.

 " Where?!? " you cried and threw your arms in the air.

 "Weel you keep eet down? I'm trying to have a siesta!" Came the reply from a little Brown mouse wearing a huge sombrero.

"Oh, hey! Sorry Speedy!" You apologised quickly before giving the knife back to Marie.

 "It's fine"

 "Anyways? Where were we? Ah! Would you like help lifting the cake back to the car?" She offered.

 " You honestly have no idea how grateful I am of your kindness "

That evening, Bugs and Marie called round to see the cake. You were expecting to be talking about it all night, but something very unfortunate happened.

 "Uh, (y/n)" started Bugs. "I received a very interesting photo from Marie"

 "Really? Was it the cake?" You could hardly contain your exciting.

 "No, it was more terrifying than exciting"

 "What?"

 " This picture she sent me of you holding a knife to her"

Your eyes widened in horror and your heart was racing as you realised what a little sneak she was.

 "WHAT? BUT SHE GAVE ME THE KNIFE! OH MY GOSH" you started hyperventilating.

 "Marie, is this true?" Bugs asked calmly.

 "It is!" She started sobbing take tears. "It was horrible! I don't know why she did it! She's getting married to you and I made her a lovely cake! Ohhh!" She dramatically threw herself on him.

 "Bugs, you have to believe me! I honestly didn't!" You panicked at the thought of losing him.

 "Alright. And Marie? It was just you and (y/n?"

 " Uh huh" she sniffed.

 "Interesting. Well I wonder who took these pictures then?'

" Oh, that was uh, uh... "

"Lemme guess: you two were taking selfies when (y/n) just decided to go full psycho on you"  Bugs crossed his arms.

"No! I can explain"

"No need to, I can see right through you, and now would you kindly leave my future wife's home? Your cakes nice though"

And with that she left, ashamed and humiliated. Yup, you have to be pretty smart to fool Bugs. A Cecil smart, not a Marie smart.

"Oh, Bugs! I'm so happy you believe me! "

"It's fine. Speedy told me what she was up to, he's living in a hole in her wall you know" he chuckled.

A few months later, you and Bugs were happily married. Marie came to the wedding, but didn't seen to enjoy it much.
