We took Sitwell back to the car and Sam took his falcon wings and put them in the trunk. I sat in the back with Sitwell again and Steve and Sam sat up front, Sam driving. As we left the building no one said a word; in fact no one spoke until we were on the highway headed for the Triskelion.

"HYDRA doesn't like leaks," Sitwell said. He was probably trying to convince us to protect him, the slimy little weasel.

"Then why don't you try sticking a cork in it?" Sam shot back, sounding irritated. Sitwell slumped back against the seat and fell into silence.

"Insight's launching in 16 hours," I informed them after looking through Sitwell's phone. "We're cutting it a little bit close here."

"I know. We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the helicarriers directly," Steve replied. I looked at him impressed. That was actually a good idea.

"What? Are you crazy?" Sitwell shouted. "That is a terrible, terrible idea." Just then there was a thud on the roof of the car. Something had fallen on it.

"What the hell?" I cried as the window shattered and Sitwell was dragged threw it and thrown into the opposite lane of traffic. The person on the roof decided at that moment that it was a good idea to start shooting through the roof of the car. I crawled into the front seat and into Steve's lap and I pulled a gun from my side. Steve reached over and grabbed the gear shift, putting us in park. As the tires screeched, a man flew off of the top of our car, digging his hand into the road to stop himself. A metal hand.

"Shit," I cried. "It's him." Steve and Sam looked ahead as the man in front of us got to his feet. His face was covered by a mask and goggles so that we could not see his face. As we sat there and waited, we were hit from behind by another car. A car bigger than ours. The gun was forced out of my hand upon impact. The car forced us into motion until we were right on the Winter Soldier and he had to jump over the car in order to avoid being hit. He landed on the roof again and slammed his metal hand through the windshield, ripping the steering wheel out of the car completely.

"Shit!" Sam yelled as we began to lose control. I reached for my gun, unable to reach it for a moment but as soon as I had it again, I started shooting at the Winter Soldier. He jumped onto the hood of the car behind us to get away from the bullets. Our car began to careen out of control.

"Babe, I don't have enough time for a portal here. It would take too long, but we need to get out of this car," I shouted, aiming for the Winter Soldier again, but holding my fire. The car behind us, slammed into the car again, causing us to hit the median and lose control again. If they kept hitting us, we were going to end up flipping the car. Steve grabbed his shield and slammed it against the door grabbing me and Sam.

"Hang on!" he yelled and as the car began to flip, he slammed his shield against the door again, sending us falling out of the car. We hit the ground as the car flipped several times and Sam was thrown away from us so he rolled to slow himself down. Steve and I slid on the door for probably fifty feet before coming to a stop. As we came to a stop, we stood up and Steve raised his shield while I ran for cover at his order. I could see men getting out of the car that had repeatedly hit us and one of them handed what looked like a grenade launcher to the Winter Soldier. He aimed it at Steve and fired, the force of the impact against Steve's shield throwing him off of the bypass and into a bus down below us.

"Steve! NO!" I screamed, running to the edge, to make sure he was ok. I couldn't see him so I turned and saw the Winter Soldier again. Sam and I both ran for cover as the men and the Winter Soldier began to shoot at us. I ran behind a van while Sam took off in the opposite direction. I focused my energy as quickly as I could and opened a portal to the road below us. But before I could step through it, the Winter Soldier, shot his grenade launcher at me and I was forced to throw myself over the median into the opposite lane of traffic. I ran for it trying to find a way to get a portal open, still dodging bullets from all of the men shooting at me. I ran behind a car only for it to explode and I was thrown off the roof. Thankfully I had remembered that my gun had a grappling hook attachment and I was able to swing down to the ground, mostly unharmed. As I ran under the overpass, I could see the Winter Soldier's shadow and knew I needed to avoid him or risk getting shot. I got to the edge where he was standing but he wasn't looking at me. He was paying attention to the bus that Steve had been thrown into so I decided to send a little payback of my own. I raised my guns and began to shoot at him until he ducked down. I could have sworn I hit him somewhere.
