FIVE DAYS LATER.

Nancy's P.O.V

"Cassius?! Oh my God! Cassius, where are you? Talk to me. Where have you been?!" I'm pacing around the room, almost out of breath.

Cassius just called me; with the unknown number I've grown so fond of these last weeks.

I'm hearing his voice for the first time in over a month!

He coughs. "Listen to me... They-they-" he struggles for breath. "They have me abducted..." He coughs again.

I can feel my heart daring to pump out of my chest.

"Who? Who has you abducted? Where are you? Cassius, talk to me. Please..." I rush out, almost at the verge of biting my lips from anxiety.

He coughs again; this time more choked.

What are those people doing to him?

"I'm sorry, Nancy. I real-" he stops himself immediately, as if someone shunned him. "I just wanted the best for you." He clears his throat.

Has the abductor come back? Is he scared? Cassius was just at the verge of telling me who is doing this to him!

"You have two minutes, Obi!" I hear another voice yell in the background.

Oh my God... What is happening? The voice is enhanced with an app, so I can't make out who it is. How is that even possible? I can hear Cassius's normal voice. Why can't I hear the original voice of the abductor?!

Cassius clears his throat, choking on another cough. He sighs exasperatedly afterwards. "I'm sorry for all the lies I told you. I hope you understand..."

"What are you talking about, Cassius?!" I yell. "Tell me where you are! Now!" I demand. Screw respect. He needs to speak up.

God... No. I can't loose him. I won't loose him.

Let this be a prank. Please.

"Sixty seconds." That voice reminds.

God...

"Cassius!" I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say.

"I love you both, Nancy. You and Braden. I intentionally made sure you spent time with Braden while I was away. I did it intentionally, okay? It was my choice. I don't expect you to understand now. You will, very soon." He breathes into the phone.

I breakdown. I fall to the ground, letting the tears fall. "What are you talking about, Cassius? Where are you?" I ask softly; defeated.

"Twenty seconds..."

He doesn't say anything. He's supposed to be saying something! The idiot just warned that we have twenty seconds left. Twenty seconds until something happens. I don't know what will happen!

Maybe this is a game or something... Right?

"Fortune cupboard" is the last thing I hear Cassius say before I hear a gunshot, and the sound of the phone dropping to the floor.

I literally feel my heart stop beating. I feel the world around me stop. Everything seems to just stop.

It takes a few seconds before I get my senses back, yelling into the phone: "Cassius! Cassius! Cassius talk to me!"

No response.

I hear shuffling. That means someone picked the phone up. Someone has the phone in hand!
