Chapter 7

I woke up from the loud sound coming from my phone. "What is this" I looked at my phone trying to open my eyes as it vibrated in my hands "Oh so you're calling me. Who is calling me" I couldn't even think straight and I picked it up placing it on my ear. "Hello?" There was silence, not a word spoken. I took the phone off my ear and looked at the caller Id. Ian
"Delilah" I sat up straight, my eyes opening up wide at his voice. "Are you alright?"
"I got on a train" I had a feeling he got on the one that doesn't include me
"It's a sad one but it makes everyone else happy" he said
"Ian please don't do this to yourself"
"We all have to compromise"
"Maybe we can find you a way"
"I'm getting married" he said and it broke me inside
Why did it break me inside? He never committed anything to me? I don't even know this man? He bought me coffee? We had a few laughs? But who is he?
"Are you hurt?"
"No"
"Ian did you hurt yourself?"
"No"
"Answer"
"No"
"Where are you?"
"Home"
"New York?"
"No"
"WHERE IAN?"
"On my bedroom floor"
"Ian answer"
"Not near you" he ended the call leaving me concerned for him
"He is getting married?" I called multiple times over and over restless for what he has done or what he has got himself into.
I stayed up all night texting and calling him with no response. Please be okay. I heard a knock as the clock hit 12Pm. "Delilah open up" I heard Isabella call out from outside. I opened the door to look at her cherry face "I come with food" she smiled holding onto Chinese. "I love you" I hugged her as she got inside and she walked into the kitchen "you look like a mess" she said and I nodded. "I barely slept" I rubbed my eyes as she took out the food. "Talk to me"
"Remember I told you about this guy I would never see again" she nodded "he is getting married" I explained the entire situation to her as I munched down on the chicken, overloading myself. "Girl you're falling for him" "He is getting married Belle"
"So what they can be broken"
"You sound like Ade"
"I don't know how to help Ian he is killing me a part of me wants to talk to him day and night and a part of me doesn't wanna feel things"
"How long do you know him for?"
"Maybe a month"
"What's his name again?"
"Ian"
"Last name?"
"I don't know"
"So you don't know his last name hence you know his life story?"
"I don't know shit" I sighed sipping onto my tea
"What does he look like?" She asked and I smiled at her
"He is dreamy. Beautiful dreamy. He makes my heart happy jump up and down in joy. He walks with grace, he talks like I am the only person around him. He has the smoothest hair something I would slip out of, he walks onto my heart like he owns it, he looks into my eyes like there is no one else in this world. He makes my toes lift up in the air, my heart ache with happiness my cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. His eyes a deep form of brown turning soft brown as he drowns in me" I looked down at my hands as I felt myself falling deep down. "What made you fall for him"

"Del you're far from saying you don't like this person. Let's say he is getting married right how do you feel?"
"My heart aches. I want to cry till I can't breathe. I feel sick like I can watch him love someone else. I can see him hold onto someone else and it's not me" I look up with tears in my eyes
"No girl don't let this get to you. If you really want something you need to work for it"
"I can't let this get to me"
"Be his friend" she placed her hand on my palm and I nodded as I build a barrier.
"Let's go for a girls night out. You can meet my friends that way?" She smiled
"I don't know"
"Come on it will be fun" she said standing up and cleaning up the trash
"I'm going to pick you up by 7 and I want you ready in a cute outfit" she laughed walking out the apartment and I smiled at her nodding.

I put on my black jumper before slipping into my converse. I picked up my bag and phone before heading towards the door taking a quick glance in the mirror. I walked outside to see Isabella in a short floral dress as she hyped me up. We walked out the building and started walking towards her car. "Where are we going?"
"Good question, it's called unplanned but looking cute" she said as we stopped by a house
"This here we are picking up Athena our Greek goddess" I laughed as I saw a girl with shirt black hair, blue bandana and big glasses come out. She got in the back seat, closing the door behind her "HEY I AM ATHENA" she was loud for a small person
"Delilah" I smiled as she patted my shoulder and started talking about the new k dramas. "That's a lot of K for me" I laughed as she continued on her topic
"Alright we are here I have had about 50 calls from Nyx by now" Belle said getting out of the car
"If you see an Audi it's gonna be Nyx for sure" Athena said pointed at the four rings and Nyx. "Cute" I smiled walking over with them and she immediately got me in a hug. Everyone's a hugger.
"Who are we missing?" Athena asked before we got in the restaurant
"Layla and Camari" I looked at them for any tips I needed as Athena filled me in "So Layla is our cook our business nerd freak and for Camari she is the tiny bomb that will roast you on spot"
"I'll try to stay on her good side" I sat down as I got a glass of water
"NO WHAT ARE YOU SO AFRAID ABOUT" we looked across the room to see a purple haired girl scream at a another one who looked terrified.
"That's them" Belle pointed as I guessed Camari was the purple haired girl
"Listen to this she is afraid of professor Henry like why?"
"I didn't complete my work" Layla cried
I held back a laugh as she sat down pulling her hair from behind that were tied into a neat braid.
"Guys sit down" Belle screamed at them
This is perfect. I found people as loud as me.
"Why are you smiling so hard" Athena nudged and I laughed
"You guys are as loud as me" I laughed and they joined me
"Let's get some salad" Nyx got up as I followed her with Belle right behind me
"This looks good" Belle pointed out as the corn. I picked up one and put it in my mouth
"DEL"
"WHAT ITS GOOD YOU TRY IT" I said picking up another one
"YOU GUYS ARE TOO LOUD" Layla screamed from across the table
"This is so good" Nyx said as she filled the plate to the top
"You're going to drop it" Belle hissed
"No I won't"
"Yes you will"
"No I won't"
"PUT MORE OF THIS" I said as I picked up the beans
"Exactly what we need" they both moved towards me before Belle slipped off holding onto my shoulder pulling me down with her
"We are embarrassing" I laughed out loud with her as everyone stared at us
"Get up"
"You get up" we argued before Athena walked towards us
"You guys are so embarrassing everyone's looking at us" she said as we pulled her down with us
"Look at Layla" we looked back at her to see her hiding her face behind her shirt
"Here taste this" Nyx passed me a potato
"God this is heaven" I said as we stood up walking towards the table only to have my head banged against a hard chest
"Ouch" I looked up to see a guy in a black shirt most likely to be an employee
"Sorry" I said as he leaned his face into me and Belle
"What" I moved aside with her as we walked away from him
