Chapter 10

Ian's pov

"Are you alright?" Delilah walked over to me handing me a cup of tea
"Thankyou" I sighed as I took the cup out of her hands
"Ian are you s-
"Delilah I swear to you I haven't"
"I know but maybe this is her way to get close to you. Maybe gain your sympathy or love through a baby"
"Or maybe it's a lie, I am sure if she is pregnant it's not my baby" he said tracing his finger on the cup. She lifted the cup up to my face and gave me a warm reassuring smile "you'll make it through this" She said and I sipped onto my tea. "When is he coming?"
"2 hours"
"Are you going back home?" I nodded sighing as I never wanted to leave her sight
"I'm always a call away" she said and I gave me a small smile thinking whether I would call her ever again or not.
"You're amazing don't anyone tell you otherwise. You've a right on your life and if this means killing your heart maybe there is a way to get into their heart" She said
"If I put you through anything that hurt you Del I am sorry"
"I'm sorry too" she sighed looking away from me
I fell for someone I couldn't have. Right person wrong time is an actual thing.
I stood up with my heart sinking down as I had to leave "are you leaving?" She asked with a broken voice. I turned around to see her puffy little red nose and shaky voice. "I'm going to miss you" I took the courage and said what was hidden in my heart. She gave me a broken smile and walked towards me "Me too" she let out a little sigh, I felt goosebumps go up and down my arms as I bought her closer into a hug. I hugged her like I would never see her again, I held her like the world would end, I held her like she was the one person that mattered. I placed my face into the crook of her neck and inhaled her scent. She pulled away looking into my eyes as we both let the silence speak for us. "You were my favourite gym buddy" she laughed punching into my chest "try moving alright" I made her laugh as I watched her throw her head back, "no snorts?"
"Shut up you meanie" she poked me and walked me towards the elevator. I stood into the elevator with the urge to run to her and hold her all over again, to pull her close to me and feel her skin against me "Ian don't" she looked at me with tears in her eyes as if she heard my silence talk, my body move and my heart twist for her. Delilahs pov

Before he could complete his sentence he disappeared behind closed doors leaving me stranded on my apartment floor. I wrapped my arms around my shoulders turning around to see Isabella standing in the doorway "I'm so sorry" she said while pulling me into a hug while I burst into a tears. I felt my breath hitched as I held onto my heart while I hiccuped taking a breath in. "Delilah" I looked up to a teary Belle "he left" I cried holding onto her shirt as she pulled me into my apartment. She sat me down running to grab a glass of water while I continued on my hiccups. "Breathe" she placed the glass on my lips and I took a sip out of it. "Inhale" I took a breath in as I felt my stomach churn and come upto my throat. I ran to the washroom, getting into my knees as I puked my guts out. I felt hands on my hair as Belle grabbed my hair while I puked. I flushed the toilet cleaning my mouth and sitting down on the bathroom floor. "why did it had to be me" I cried as she wiped my tears away. "He wasn't worth it"
"HE WAS BELLE HE WAS WORTH MY LOVE I WAS WORTH HIS LOVE! WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF" I cried as I rocked my body back and forth. "You're going to get sick please Del hold onto yourself" she said as I felt hot tears fall onto my cheeks.
"Come here wash your face I'll get us something hot" she said dragging me off the bathroom floor" she closed the door behind her as u stood in the mirror with my mascara running over my face, I clenched my fists pulling onto my hair as I screamed out loud, each time I cried I felt a heavy pain in my head, each time I shed a tear I wanted him. "Fuck" I washed off my face and took a breath in. "You're going to be okay" I said to myself before I felt a heavy amount of tears fill up my eyes. "I need Ma" I cried as I walked out the washroom at Belle handing me coffee "I'll have it in a few" I kept it aside as I looked out my balcony. "I want to go home" I said as I picked up my laptop to look for the earliest flight home. "Are you sure?"
"Yea Ma misses me and I need home right now. Plus I've a break for a week I'll be good" I gave her a reassuring smile before booking a flight. "There is one for tomorrow, my luck worked I guess it's the last one" I said as I booked it "10am" I looked at her and she nodded
"I'm going to miss you"
"I'll be back in a week" I laughed and pinched her cheek
"You should come" I said
"I'm broke"
"Liar"
"True but maybe one day"
"Maybe" I smiled at her
"Do you want me to stay tonight?" She asked and I nodded
"Does your grandma need you?"
"She has a companion today" she winked making me giggle
"HEY SHE LAUGHS" she applaud as I smiled at her quirkiness
