The first thing I realize is that I'm cold, freezing cold. All I see is a bunch of white. I open my eyes but it's bright, too bright. Finally my eyes adjust and I look up at Mike.

"Ainsley!! You're awake!" he said.

"Yah haha I guess I am! What happened?" I went on assuming I was injured while sailing which isnt an impossibility.

"Ainse, we were talking, you looked pale, and then you collapsed. What is going on? That's what we were talking about." he said. He sounded genuinely worried.

"I haven't been feeling well lately, stomach aches, back pain... It's probably nothing. I just need more sleep. I should probably work out more too. Haven't lifted more than 112 in weeks." I said.

"How long has this been going on? And why did you lose so much weight?? That's not good, Ainse!" he asked.

"A week or two..."

"And you didn't tell me??!" he said. I didn't think much of it at the time...

"Mike...I'm sorry! I didn't really think its a big deal."

"Ainsley, anything that's causing you pain is a big deal. You're my best friend, I should have noticed...I should have done something..."

"Mike, stop. Don't worry about me!" Honestly he couldn't have done anything, he just blames himself.

"Have you seen a doctor about it at least? It's not normal, Ainsley..." He knows that I hate doctors. I have avoided them like the plague...wow thats ironic. Anyway, I can't stand doctors, I don't really know why.

"I know doctors scare you but please, I'll go with you. I am worried about you!" he said. I had to agree. We made an appointment for the next day. In the meantime, I was allowed to go home.
