Chapter 1: A Miraculous Malfunction

Ladybug and Chat Noir hid behind the bus as Ladybug began discussing the plan. She had already used her lucky charm, which gave her 5 minutes.

But then the unexpected happened. Her earrings beeped twice as her suit began disappearing, slower than usual. It was evident Tikki was fighting.

Chat was staring at Ladybug as she too now, gaping. Millions of thoughts and wrongs and rights crossing his mind as Ladybug snapped him out of them.

"Chat I'm going to detransform! You have to hide me!"

In a second, he was on his baton swinging ladybug, who had halfway detransformed, but Chat didn't dare take a peek, as much as he wanted to find out her identity, he didn't want to do it this way.

They plopped into an alley as Chat let go, his eyes now closed as Marinette hid behind a dumpster.

Tikki was exhausted, the strain of keeping the suit intact had taken a toll over her. However, she nibbled on the cookie, reassuring her holder she was alright.

Transforming back, she and Chat slammed on the rubble in front of the Akuma.

The Artist, capable of manipulating art pieces to life attacked them with his army. Ladybug had called on her lucky charm, ready to attack but then turned to see Chat's ring flashing.

"How...? I haven't even used cataclysm..."

Soon his detransformation also began, as Ladybug swinged him into an alley.

An abnormally large fight later Ladybug restored everything as she hugged her partner.

"Thank you for protecting my identity, Chat. I'll try to see why we're experiencing sudden detransformations."

His two-finger salute later, Adrien arrived in his mansion as Plagg landed on the floor...far away from camembert.

"Plagg?"

Adrien felt concerned as he took the poor cat creature, poking it.

"CHEESE ADRIEN! CHEEEESE!"

And then he lied back down.

"You know where it is."

Even so, Adrien gave the poor kwami his cheese, "Plagg, why did LB and me detransform so soon?"

"Let the poor creature eat, you can call Ladybug and ask her later."

"Plagg!"

Plagg rotated, slowly then ever, glaring at his holder.

"Look kid, this is very complicated, and thank me for holding your transformation so long, its exhausted me! I told you, ask Ladybug...LATER!"

Adrien sighed as he began scrolling through the Ladyblog.

Marinette held her kwami, "Tikki, you look as if the cookie monster took all your cookies, what's wrong?"

"Marinette, it usually doesn't happen for centuries, but you can't transform now. It's too risky."

"Why so?"

"Me and Plagg possess most power of all miraculous, in balance of universe, every once in a while, we have to do rituals to sustain our connection and power, since food does restore our energy, but we create the power, and the power isn't restored by food. Transformation could damage the magical ability, so I'm afraid you can't transform. It's like what you humans call.... hibernation I guess."

"So, Chat and I cannot transform?"

"I'm afraid so."

That night Marinette spent hours thinking of solutions, she could use plenty of miraculous, and if Tikki can unify, that lowers risk. When it hit her, the Mouse Miraculous!

She can give the Snake Miraculous to Chat! It's perfect-

Except...Chat knows Marinette is multi-Mouse. Marinette then smiled, it's time Ladybug and Chat Noir took a break.
