Marinette's suit turned purple with golden veins as her eyes lost all color, giving away to the white abyss, "I wish for Adrien Agreste to be back."

And then, an explosion rocked the place. Emily held on to Adrien as the power shot out to the moon and beyond, expanding its cloak all over Paris, before shrinking back in a second towards Marinette, who then fell, both her transformations going lose, and lay there, her civilian form.

Emily dragged herself and Adrien towards Marinette, her heart pounding that she might've lost two large parts of her life, and not wanting to choose kept both their heads in her lap. She stroked their heads as Adrien's eyes fluttered open, "Mom?"

She smiled, "I'm so glad you're alright."

He turned his head slightly, and then jerked up seeing Marinette. "What happened!? Never mind, is she okay?"

His mother's silence frightened him, and then he saw it. His ring, and her earrings, both of them on her. His breath was knocked out of him as she scrambled towards her, trying to find a pulse.

Adrien then began to panic, "No, no, no, no." He shook her, his eyes no blinded by grief, but one thing kept his mind from losing it all. Bluebell eyes bore into his Emerald Green as he recognized the owner.

"Marinette!" He cried out, hugging her.

"I love you." She whispered.

"What?" He said.

"I didn't say it before, but I love you."

"I love you too, Buginette."

The duo broke apart and stared each other, smiling, everything was alright, everything was okay. Then Emily broke in their moment, making them blush furiously,

"So when's the wedding?"

They were able to transform, but they were afraid. What price had been paid for Adrien's life? Emily, Gabriel, Marinette and her family and friends, everyone was here.

They were scouring the city when Marinette received a call, it was Alya, "Girl, get here! Lila's had an accident."

Marinette went pale, telling Adrien as the heroes ran, detransforming by the hospital. They checked in to find Lila on her bed. She was smiling. But not like a devilish smirk, neither a winning smile that made you want to smack it off her face. It was a genuine pure smile.

"Oh hello, you must be Adrien and Marinette, my friends told me about you. I'm sorry I can't remember you, I hope we can still be good friends.''

I'm sorry you were misunderstood...

Marinette stared, then whispered to Adrien, "I think the price was rightful to the balance, Lila's memories."

Marinette looked at the brunette before her, extending her hand, "I'm Marinette, let's start over then."

I'll be here to be your first friend...

Adrien and Marinette soon made their way towards the Agreste mansion, both of them having found each other after the storms of misfortune. "I don't find it fair you knew my identity yet kept yours a secret Minou."

"Hey! All is fair in Love and War!"

Marinette shook her head,

"Remind me to ask Plagg to cataclysm whoever came up with that line."

They made their way inside, as Marinette helped the Agrestes to set up the hall. They had invited over the Dupain-Chengs for dinner, and Marinette volunteered to help. In the midst of the chaotic preparations, Emily suggested a break and send Adrien and Marinette away to the Tower for their own time. She knew they needed it, or rather Adrien did.

They walked around the Eiffel Tower, memories of Aspik and Multimouse flurrying past, it was crazy to believe just months ago they were friends with secrets who's life seemed far from complicated. Through all odds they had won.

Just then Adrien stopped, and Marinette turned around to see him on one knee, handing out a red rose, a distant voice echoing, "It goes with your costume."

He then spoke with the earnest of eyes and voice, "Please accept my heart."

And accept she did, embracing him in less then a second. He promised her, she promised him, that they would never give up on each other.

And that night they all had a feast. Chattering and lights filled the once gloomy and hollow mansion, having Adrien bubbling with happiness. He got along well with Tom, their share of puns being a common factor, one Marinette wasn't feeling most jolly about.

Adrien may smile a lot, he might rarely laugh as well, but Marinette could've sworn his face glowed the most that day.
