SNOH

The atmosphere was rather serene and quiet, not necessarily in an awkward way; I mean it would have been perfect if Isadora wouldn't scrutinize me every other minute when the Domina wasn't paying mind to me.

I was still confused as to what she was doing here, to begin with, I rarely see her around the suite and when I did, our experiences were rather less than ideal, but to see her calm and not spouting nonsense at me at this current moment was a relief if anything.

"I hope the tea and treats are to your liking Snoh, I had all of this imported from our home back in Eteny." The Domina's voice brought me out of my pestering thoughts once more. I looked up from the extravagant table set that probably cost more than a small fortune and smiled up at her.

"Oh! Yes of course! Everything here is marvelous, thank you once again for inviting me, your Holiness." I thanked her politely.

The Domina tilted her head slightly to her opposing shoulder and frowned, "You know, you don't have to call me by my formal title so long as I am a student here at Clouiths. You can call me Cardea like all of my close friends such as Isadora does." She looked over at her and broadened her smile at my suitemate.

Isadora gave her Holiness a reassuring smile and nodded. "As you wish, Cardea." She stated.

The Domina groaned slightly at her friend's response and shook her head, "You would imagine all these isos and it's still difficult for others to address me informally without it sounding weird." She giggled and turned back to me. "You're absolutely stunning today, might I say." She said as she took a look at the dress I had chosen to wear for this meeting.

I wish I could personally thank the Empress for upgrading my wardrobe, I could only imagine what others would be saying if I had come in the over-worn clothes that I was used to wearing all the time; I mean nothing was wrong with it, but the fabric wasn't necessarily the fanciest, nor was it the latest by the biggest courtiers like I saw many of the wealthier students sporting on a regular basis.

Sometimes it felt like a competition between them to see who could come out in the best-looking attire; primed and ironed blazers, jackets, and tailcoats. The ladies were visions in their fluttering dresses, heels, and sunhats, constantly snickering and looking down on the other students who found it adequate to roll into class in trousers, flat shoes, and an overcoat.

I guess I wasn't the kind of person to focus on style until it had a positive or negative impact on me like it was in this very concentrated setting.

I looked over and studied the attire of Her Holiness and Isadora. Both of them seemed to be dressed fairly similar; that of representing their home country of Eteny, while also keeping up with the style of the time in Crescent Amerf.

Isadora was dressed in a peach ensemble with a pleated design that ran all throughout the bodice and the skirt of her well-designed dress. She adorned that with a number of golden accessories to further accentuate her prestige and wealth.

The Domina on the other hand wore a rather modest-looking champagne-toned elongated dress that went to her calves; it was made of very luxurious and shiny silk material and looked rather comfortable to wear, but still stunning nonetheless. Her lower face of course was still decorated with golden chains to cover the remainder of her face.
