SNOH
Yikes.
"My apologies, Scholar Gah, I didn't mean—."
"Snoh Encre, was it? The High Chancellor's daughter...." Her voice trailed off as I strained my neck to get a closer view of the woman speaking to me. My body remained rather frozen in her eccentrically-styled office, though my eyes still fought to make sense of all the items residing within the space.
I cleared my throat at the brashness of her voice knowing good and well I was in the wrong for getting caught by her, "Honestly... I'd like to believe I'm a little more than just that." I stated. The scholar went silent for a moment, I could hear the sound of something rumbling...or was that bubbling? I couldn't tell.
"Oh yeah? And what exactly might that be besides a snoop that likes to go around fondling items of strangers?" She mocked me lightly. I sighed deeply, I knew I should've just stayed behind the door and waited for her to reply to my countless knocks; my persistence to enter the room has now left a bitter taste in her mouth, not the best foot to get off on with first meetings.
"Once again, I do apologize, Scholar Gah. I knocked many times, but it seems you were unable to hear them from up there." I said to her. From the distance, I continued to hear tinkering and light zapping, almost as if she were busy doing something and not the least bit concerned about the conversation I was having with her.
Jeez was everyone at Clouiths so standoffish?
I was so excited to meet someone who had similar abilities to multi-wield such as and then—
"Come up here, child." Her voice abruptly shook me out of my thoughts long enough for me to turn my gaze to the onyx-colored metal spiral staircase to my far right. It led right up to what seemed like an extended office space where I presumed she would be at the moment.
Nervously, I hoisted the satchel bag across my shoulders as I walked towards the staircase. Slowly, I made my way up grabbing onto the railings as support as I spun round and round increasing my elevation increasing from the ground as I finally made it to the top of the stairway.
There Scholar Gah rested behind her desk, standing above a plethora of opened books surrounding her. There were a few open glass bottles and vials along with steaming bowls of some unknown matter floating around in the air; though her gaze was stern and focused intently on the sparks of magic sizzling in the air with an intense and vibrate blue color. Her hands flexed as she continued manifesting the glowing orb that seemed attached to the crystal sphere.
