EEEK! Hope you guys love this chapter! (I almost divided it into too, but since the last update was shorter... this one is nice and lone!)

Anyway! I love it! I could not stop writing... it's unedited so I'm sorry for any mistakes. Enjoy!

Chapter 20

Consciousness welcomes me back to the world sometime later. I don’t know how long I’ve been out, but it was long enough to be moved and tucked back into my own bed. Forcing my eyes open, I focus on the warmth surrounding me. Chase. I’m tucked into his side with one arm strung across with waist and my head resting low on his chest. One arm is around me and absently he plays with my hair while is reached across his body and rests on my shoulder, holding me close to him. His attention focused on whatever is playing quietly on TV on at the moment – he hasn’t realized yet that I’m awake.

I don’t reveal myself just yet because the moment I do, the moment will be lost. The truth of his parents. What I did. What we’re going to do now… It will all start to crash down the moment I officially wake up. Right now I’m rather enjoying being pressed closely against the man that I love. We haven’t exactly had a lot of time to ourselves – to focus on each other.

“Love,” he whispers softly. “I know you’re awake.”

I squeeze him and snuggle into his chest deeper.

“Am not,” I whisper back.

He slides down, adjusting so that he’s laying flat and my head is resting on his shoulder. The hand that was playing with my hair glides down my body until it rests on my hips, toying with the hem of my shirt. Sparks ignite against my skin where his fingers slide against up my waist. My eyes close as I relish his touch. He’s been very hesitant to start anything since… well, about the same time they forced me into therapy. And by hesitant I mean tried nothing at all.

“Chase,” I start to say I don’t know what, but he cuts me off quickly. Chase shifts so that I’m lying flat on my back and he’s propped up on an arm, looking down at me. His deep silver eyes are filled with endless emotion.

“I’m so sorry,” he chokes out in a whisper. “I… never thought… I didn’t know they were capable.” His words are almost incoherent. My hand reaches for his face and gently, I cup his cheek. His emotions fill me, each one so strong that I almost pull away. Guilt. Resounding guilt that weighs down so heavily it’s suffocating. A million other emotion follow, but the guilt screams the loudest. Touching isn’t necessary, but since I’m not great at reading emotion, it helps. And I will never not want to touch Chase.

“You have nothing to apologize for,” I tell him without breaking eye contact.

“It’s my fault, Aurora.”

I frown, knowing he believes the words he just spoke and hating that he does. Pulling my other hand from between us up to his other cheek so that I have his face trapped between my hands, I don’t let him look away. I pull myself up to him and press my lips against his. He doesn’t react at all. I kiss him again, harder this time, willing him to understand that none of this is his fault.

“I love you, Chase,” I murmur against his lips. “Always. Forever. No matter what.”

Finally he gives in. Leaning his body into mine, Chase captures my lips in his. My hands slide from his cheeks to the nape of his neck and I let my fingers tangle into his hair. His soft lips press into mine hard and his teeth nip at my bottom lip causing my mouth to open in a gasp of pleasure. Chase takes advantage of the moment and his tongue slides into my mouth, expertly massaging against my own tongue. My fingers pull at his hair when his fingers slide up my waist and brush against the underside of my breasts and then his thumbs slide higher and across the sensitive flesh.
