Chp. 2) Forest Mishap

After the encounter with the Mankeys, a police officer saw what had just happened and came up behind me; "Hello Mankey," She says. "I'm Officer Jenny, I would like to offer you a way to make up for all of your misdeeds." The Mankey looked at each other, and then all looked at Jenny. She continues; "I want you all to join the Viridian Police Force!"

The Mankey all form a circle and huddle around each other, and a few minutes later they disperse and one of them looks at Jenny, and nods its head in agreement. Officer Jenny and I come back from Route Twenty-two, into Viridian City with the Mankeys. Officer Jenny announces the idea to the people, and they agree with the idea.

"Officer Jenny," I began to ask. "Do you know where the closest gym is?"

"Well there is a gym here in Viridian City but right now the leader isn't here," Jenny tells me. "So I believe that the nearest gym right now is the one in Pewter City." She points in a direction, and I believe it's heading to Route Two. "Just head to Route Two and go into the Viridian Forest, once you go through the forest you will be on the path to Pewter City."

"Thank you ma'am." I say bowing my head. "I'm going to head to the pokemon center and heal up my team.

"Ello young sir," I hear a familiar voice, I turn around and see the old man from earlier. He is holding a bag; "These are for you, for helping Viridian City." I take the bag, it is filled up with tons of different types of pokeballs.

I bow my head; "Thank you so much sir." 

"No, thank you." The old man replied. I headed to the pokemon center and asked Nurse Joy to heal my party. I head back to Route Twenty-two and grab a handful of berries and try to put as many as I can into my bag. I start sprinting to Route Two, and I immediately see the forest entrance. I stare at the entrance to the forest for a few minutes, I grab Mankey's and Squirtle pokeballs, and I walk inside of the forest.

I take a few steps into the forest, and I see a sign right in front of this huge tree. I begin to read and it says; "Please stay on the forest path, so that way you do not get lost in the Viridian Forest." After reading this, I keep moving forward. A few minutes pass, the only thing I can hear is the music coming from my headphones. I checked my phone to see what was playing; it is Circles by Post Malone. I put on my headphones and begin vibing to the music. After the song ends, I turn off my music trying to preserve my phone battery for when I need to open my map app. As soon as I do this, I hear a buzzing sound; BUZZZZZ, it keeps getting louder and louder, BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ. I turn and look at where the sound is coming from, I see a bunch of yellow and black pokemon with really large needles for hands. I pull out my pokedex and it tells me that these pokemon are called Beedrill; they are poison and bug types and are very territorial and have three very poisonous needles. I look closer and see that the swarm of Beedrill are chasing a kid with a net and an oversized straw hat. BUZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZZZ, the buzzing noise snaps me to reality that they're coming closer. Fear hits me, and I start running away. A few moments pass, I look behind me and see that the kid isn't there anymore, but now the Beedrill are chasing me now.

I keep running, I see a clearing in the forest and I turn around. The swarm of Beedrill start surrounding me, I now have nowhere to run. Grabbing Squirtle and Mankey's pokeballs, I throw them up in the air yelling; "COME ON OUT YOU GUYS!"

"Squirtle-squirt!" Squirtle says.

"Man-KAY!" Mankey screeches.

"Allright Squirtle I want you to use rapid spin on these Beedrill, Mankey I want you to use fury swipes on them!" I tell Squirtle and Mankey. They nod and go in opposite directions; Squirtle goes into its shell and starts spinning, hitting a few Beedrill. Mankey starts clawing ferociously at multiple Beedrill. The swarm of Beedrill begin to retaliate by using poison sting, sending a bright white thin needle in Mankey and Squirtle's direction. "Squirtle combine your rapid spin with water gun, Mankey use dig to avoid the Beedrill's attack!" I command them. Mankey starts digging, avoiding all of the poison stings. Squirtle begins shooting water out its shell holes and hits the poison stings away, while simultaneously hitting multiple Beedrill. Mankey comes back up from underneath the ground and uppercuts a Beedrill, sending it up in the air. "Mankey use seismic toss on that Beedrill and toss it towards the other Beedrill!" I yell at Mankey. Mankey obeys and jumps up to grab the Beedrill it just uppercutted, it grabs the Beedrill and starts somersaulting, then throws the Beedrill which hits multiple other Beedrill.
