Chp. 16) S. S. Anne Top Four! Andrew vs. Lenny & DJ vs. Cheyenne!

I had suddenly realized that I was the only one up here on the balcony, aside from Nurse Joy, who just came up the stairs. So, I decided to walk down the stairs, and walk towards the table Cheyenne and Cassandra were sitting at. I reached the table, pulled out one of the chairs and sat down.

"Oh," Cassandra said, now noticing me. "What's up DJ?" She asked.

"Nothing much," I responded. I looked over to my next opponent, Cheyenne, and put my arm out to shake her hand. She responded by grabbing my hand with both of her hands, and shook my hand rapidly.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Cheyenne Wingull." She introduced herself. Now that I was closer to her, I could see the details in her face. Cheyenne had brown eyes, the ends of her hair were slightly curled, she had a necklace with a cross, and in the middle of the cross necklace was some weird rainbow stone.

"I'm DJ, can't wait to battle you soon." I politely said. I had soon realized while she was shaking my hand, her hands felt numb.

"You ok?" Cheyenne asked me with a concerned face. I must've made a strange face, or something.

"Yeah," I responded while retracting my hand back. "Just felt like your hands were numb." I explained

"Oh, you can tell?!" She said surprised. She then went on and described what she had, which was Multiple sclerosis, or as what most people call it; MS. Cheyenne informed me that it affects people differently, but for her, it affects her entire body with a numbing-like effect. This explains why she stood up from her wheelchair earlier while she was battling.

"The battle between Lenny and Andrew can begin when both trainers send out their pokemon!" Lt. Surge shouted, interrupting the conversation between Cheyenne and I. I turned around from my chair, and put my attention on the battlefield. Andrew was holding one of his pokemon's pokeballs, and wore a confident smile on his face. Lenny, on the other hand, was in a squatting position, and had his eyes closed. He seemed hyper focused, and shortly after, he stood up and smacked himself lightly on his own face. Lenny got out a pokeball, ready to bring out whatever pokemon was inside it.

"Horsea, your time to shine!" Andrew stated while throwing out his Horsea from earlier.

"Psyduck, hit it!" Lenny shouted while throwing out his Psyduck, who came out of its pokeball upside down again. It fell forward, unlike last time, and layed down on its stomach. The spectators laughed at Psyduck again, I myself giggled a little, after all it was pretty funny. Psyduck finally stood up while everyone was laughing at it.

"This battle," Lt. Surge began to declare while raising his hand up, "CAN BEGIN!" He then karate chopped the air, signaling for the battle to begin.

"Psyduck, use water gun!" Lenny ordered while swinging his hand forward. His Psyduck then blasted out a stream of water from its mouth, aiming it towards Horsea.

"Horsea, use focus energy!" Andrew calmly shouted. An orange aura surrounded Horsea's body. The stream of water that came from Psyduck, struck Horsea, and pushed it back a little. Horsea's body was still covered by this orange aura. "Now, Horsea," Andrew calmly said to his pokemon. "Use dragon breath!" Horse immediately began shooting a purple stream of fire, and it made a huge explosion where Psyduck was. The smoke cleared up quickly, revealing Psyduck was barely still standing. Suddenly, a strip of electricity ran over Psyduck's body, things are already not looking too good for Lenny.

"Psyduck, use screech," Lenny ordered. "And follow it up with fury swipes!" His Psyduck then began screeching visible sound waves towards Horsea, which caused Horsea to wince. Psyduck was then suddenly up in Horsea's face, and began scratching vigorously. This kept going on for sometime, until suddenly, Psyduck stopped moving and the strip of electricity from earlier moved all over Psyduck's body.
