As soon as we arrived at Cerulean City, Lenny and I ran to the Cerulean pokemon center to heal our pokemon. I noticed that the gym was right next to the pokemon center when we got there, but it seemed like it was gonna be closed for the rest of the day. It was getting pretty late so maybe I'll challenge the leader tomorrow. Lenny and I entered the pokemon center, it seemed to be packed full of pokemon trainers. We made it over to the front desk where Nurse Joy was.
"Did you try challenging the people on Nugget Bridge too?" A young girl with brown hair asked us while we were waiting.
"No, we just got into town," I replied. "Are these people on Nugget Bridge strong trainers?"
"They sure are," The young girl said. "Only the gym leader has beaten all 5 of the Nugget Bridge trainers in a row."
"Guess I know what we're doing tomorrow," I told Lenny. "I'm gonna fight some strong trainers before I challenge the gym."
The little girl tugged on my wrist and said; "If you're gonna do that then you should go visit Bill, he is a very famous pokemon collector that lives outside of town on Route Twenty-five which is past Nugget Bridge."
"Ooo, that would be cool, thanks for letting us know." I said. The little girl ran off, and Lenny and I grabbed our pokemon from Nurse Joy and stayed the night in a rental dorm with bunk beds. Lenny took the top one and I happily took the bottom one. I put my phone on the charger, and began looking for a song to listen to while I went to sleep. While I was doing this, Lenny had already passed out snoring. I decided on playing Natural by Imagine Dragons and put in on loop, I layed down on my bed and passed out.
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Lenny falling off the bed. I checked what time it was; it was 11:46 am. I went with Lenny to grab some breakfast, and we quickly left our dorm. We returned our dorm keys to Nurse Joy and headed out, making our way to Nugget Bridge, which I found out on my map app was Route Twenty-four. We made it to the bridge and it was a golden smoothed out wood. I noticed the little girl from last night standing on the bridge arms crossed and hair blowing in the wind. Standing behind her were four other children; three of them were boys, one with a yellow shirt and blue cap and shorts, another who looked like he was a boy scout, and the last one I also recognized. It was the boy who got chased by the Beedrill in Viridian forest. Then the last kid was also a girl, roughly the same size as the first girl's height.
"Welcome to Nugget Bridge," The young girl from last night began to say. "We're the Nugget Trainers, I'm Ali!"
"I'm Timmy!" The boy in yellow and blue yelled.
"Name's Ethan!" The boy scout looking kid exclaimed.
"I am Reli, nice to meet you! The other girl said while smiling.
"I'm-mm-I, I'm Cale!" The boy from Viridian Forest stuttered nervously.
"So," I began to ask. "Who do I fight first?"
"Whoever you want to first," Ali informed me. "And you must battle all of us all in a row, no breaks whatsoever."
"I see," I said. I looked at the Nugget Trainers for a while, and I pointed towards Cale. "I have a bone to pick with you for having a bunch of Beedrill chase after me!"
"So you do recognize me," Cale said. "Man fine, but don't cry when I win!"
"Don't run away like you did with those Beedrill then!" I remarked while holding one of my pokemon's pokeballs. The Nugget Trainers run to the other end of the bridge and Cole stands in front of the rest of them, ready to begin the battle. I take a step on the bridge and throw a pokeball; "Go, Nidoran!" My female Nidoran pops out of its pokeball.
