Chp. 15) The Fight for Semifinals! Cheyenne vs. Trevor!

"This Battle can begin as soon as both trainers send out their pokemon!" Lt. Surge announced.

"Machop, come on out!" Trevor yelled while throwing a pokeball. A bluish-gray pokemon appeared from the pokeball. I pulled out my pokedex, and it informed me that this was the superpower pokemon; Machop. I recognized that it evolved into Machoke, the pokemon that Cassandra fought in the first round.

"Snover, I need your help!" Cheyenne said as loudly as she could, while throwing out her Snover.

"Battle, BEGIN!" Lt. Surge declared. Both Snover and Machop charged towards each other without either trainer saying anything. Black clouds suddenly appeared over the battlefield, and it began to hail.

"Use low sweep!" Trevor ordered. Machop started sliding in on the ground that made it slide foot first towards Snover.

"Snover, use blizzard towards the ground!" Cheyenne ordered. Snover was then surrounded by wind that was carrying snow, and then it pointed its arms towards the ground while jumping. This caused the wind to blow Snover up into the air, dodging the Machop's attack, hitting Machop with the snow covered wind, and freezing the battlefield. "Now, use shadow ball!" Snover obeyed Cheyenne's orders, and began forming a shadowy blob with its hands. Snover then fired off the shadowy blob towards Machop, it made contact, and caused a small explosion. The smoke eventually cleared and Machop was struggling to keep standing up.

"Machop," Trevor said in a panicked state. "Use flamethrower on the ground!" His Machop began sucking in air until its cheeks were puffed up with air, and then fire began to form and spill out slightly from its mouth. Machop then spewed out a huge stream of fire towards the ground, causing the ice around Machop to melt, and with how intense the fire was; caused Machop to propel itself upwards. The entire battlefield was briefly engulfed with flames, causing all the ice to melt, and the flames also reached Snover, doing some serious damage. Machop landed on its feet, while Snover was recovering from the attack. The hail continued to fall, and was passively hurting Machop.

"This is very interesting," Andrew remarked. "Machop and its evolutionary line are known for being physical attackers, so seeing one with flamethrower of all moves surprises me."

"He could have taught it that so that it has a way of hitting aerial targets easier." I noted. Lenny looked at Andrew, then at me, and then continued to alternate from looking at one of us until he finally nodded his head in agreement.

"Guess I should be getting serious now," Cheyenne calmly said while sitting up and getting out two pokeballs. "Snover, come take a break!" She returned her Snover, and put the pokeball it was put into away. "Now, Drizzile, come on out!" Cheyenne quietly shouted. A blue reptile-like pokemon with green feet and hands, and had a dark blue and purple hairdo that made it look emo. Andrew and I whipped out my pokedex, and it informed me that this was Drizzile; a water type pokemon, and the evolved form of a pokemon called Sobble. They are handed out to starter trainers in a region called Galar, along with two other pokemon named Grookey and Scorbunny. I then put my pokedex away, wanting to pay attention to what else might happen and what this Drizzile can do.

"Machop, strike them down with bullet punch!" Trevor shouted. Machop's fists began to glow a metallic silver, and was suddenly up in front of Drizzile's face, inches away from getting punched.

"Drizzile, use sucker punch!" Cheyenne quietly shouted. Her Drizzile then with lightning speed, had its hand engulfed in a dark flame-like aura, and punched Machop in the gut before Drizzile got hit by its bullet punch. Drizzile then dragged its fist on Machop's body, until it reached its chin, uppercutting the Machop, and sending it flying. Machop landed on its head, and Drizzile shook off the dark flame-like aura from its fist, as if it was showing off its power. Machop did not attempt to get up at all, its body was motionless.
