Chp. 17) Andrew vs. DJ, a Rival Rematch!

As I walked out to the deck of the ship, I immediately noticed Andrew's intense gaze at me. He was standing on the opposite side of the battlefield and a pokeball already in his hand. When I started walking towards the battlefield, I started to remember when we first started our journey. Our first battle was against each other, and that ended in a draw. Now, it's time for a rematch, to see who will become the one to stand out on top. I grabbed one of my pokemon's pokeballs, knowing who I was going to use first.

"The battle between Andrew and DJ can begin once both trainers bring out their first pokemon," Lt. Surge began to announce for the last time in this tournament. "The battle will end when one of you loses three pokemon, and switching is allowed!" He then looked at Andrew, and then at me, as if he was determining the winner already. "I wish you both the best of luck, may the best trainer win!" He finally said while saluting.

"Mankey, I choose you!" I said while throwing Mankey out into the battlefield..

"Man-KAY!" Mankey shouted, as soon as it came out of its pokeball.

"Jigglypuff, you're up!" Andrew said while throwing his Jigglypuff out into the battlefield.

"JIGGLY!" Jigglypuff cried out in a singing voice.

"The final battle of the S. S. Anne tournament, CAN NOW BEGIN!" Lt. Surge announced.

"Mankey, let's start this off with cross chop!" I ordered. Mankey's arms began glowing white, and it crossed its arms in front of its face while dashing towards Jigglypuff.

"Jigglypuff," Andrew calmly said. "Deflate." Jigglypuff then began to exhale a bunch of air, its body deflating rapidly to the point where it was flat, and floating back and forth in the air. Mankey was then in front of Jigglypuff's flat floating body, and swung its crossed arms in a karate chop motion. However, Jigglypuff easily dodged the attack, and was now in between Mankey's arms. "Now inflate, and counter with pound!" Andrew ordered while punching the air in front of him.

"PUFF!" Jigglypuff said as it inflates its body almost instantaneously, causing Mankey to get knocked backwards a little, and leaving it wide open for an attack. Jigglypuff was then in front of Mankey's face, and pounded it so hard that Mankey's entire body was bending around Jigglypuff's fist. Mankey was sent flying, landing on its head first, then somersaulting back into the air to barely land on its feet.

"Jigglypuff, use sing!" Andrew demanded.

"Jiiiiiggly-pufff Jiggly puff!" Jigglypuff sang, creating colorful music notes that were sent flying towards Mankey.

"Mankey, dodge that by using dig!" I said while clenching my fists in frustration. Andrew is trying to keep the momentum of this battle in his favor, and he is making it extremely difficult to find an opening. The amount of training he had to do to be this skilled with his Jigglypuff, it's honestly a little scary.

"Jigglypuff, into the air!" Andrew said while pointing into the air. Jigglypuff jumped into the air, and inflated itself to become floaty. Jigglypuff kept floating up into the air, and kept getting higher. Mankey eventually popped up from the battlefield, attempting to attack Jigglypuff, but failed to get even close.

"Reach them with rock tomb!" I shouted. Mankey began forming a gray rock above its head. Mankey then threw the boulder towards Jigglypuff. The boulder broke into smaller rocks that were still flying towards Jigglypuff.

"Jigglypuff, deflate!" Andrew said while snapping his fingers. Jigglypuff's body began to deflate drastically, and its body was so flat that it descended slowly while moving in random directions, allowing it to dodge the rocks sent towards it.

"What the-!" I said, stunned and amazed, at how Andrew and his pokemon were so strong. It didn't even feel like that long ago when we had first started our journey, and more importantly since we battled each other.
