I turned around, looking back at the battlefield and prepared to take notes on other future opponents. Two trainers stepped up onto the battlefield, one having a white sailor outfit who was skinny, and the other wearing a black suit with a blue bowl hat. They also both had their pokemon out, which I scanned. The trainer in the sailor outfit I believe was Trevor, and he sent out a water type pokemon known as Seel; a white pokemon with its tongue sticking out and a horn on its head. The other trainer I also believed was Brooks, and his pokemon was an electric type known as Pikachu. Both Brooks and Trevor were waiting for Lt. Surge to announce the battle to start.

"This match can now start!" Lt. Surge declared.

"Seel, use aqua ring!" Trevor demanded. His Seel began to surround itself in rings of water, which they all spun around Seel's body.

"Use double team, and surround Seel," Brooks said. His Pikachu began making clones of itself and surrounded Seel entirely. Seel was looking around, looking confused about what was happening. "Now, use electro ball Pikachu!" Brooks shouted while making a fist. All the Pikachu clones began gathering electricity at the tip of their tails, all of them forming a ball of electricity. All the clones jumped up and somersaulted in the air, firing off the balls of electricity towards Seel. Multiple explosions occurred, causing tons of smoke to fill the battlefield. After about a minute, the smoke cleared; revealing that Seel was still standing strong. The water rings surrounding Seel were putting streams of water on its body, healing it from the damage it just took.

"That was clever," Andrew started to explain. "Trevor is making use of Seel's natural bulk, while keeping damage it takes to a minimum with that aqua ring," Andrew then put his hands on his chin "So even super effective hits don't seem to do much, or when fighting any pokemon they can play the battle in the long run and make this a game based on pure stamina."

"Pikachu, use quick attack!" Brooks demanded. All the Pikachu clones began charging towards Seel, running so fast that they had a white after image.
"Seel, take care of all of them with water pulse!" Trevor responded. His Seel stood up on its tail, and with its fins, began forming a ball of energized water. Seel then split the ball of energized water with its fins, now having two of them in each fin. Seel began spinning around, and all the Pikachu clones who reached Seel kept disappearing one by one. This Kept happening for sometime, until the real Pikachu ended up getting hit by Seel's defensive attack and the clones all disappeared at once. Seel then stopped spinning, and collided the two small balls of energized water into each other; causing it to reform and combine into one larger ball of water. Seel launched the energized water ball, and hit Pikachu with it. Pikachu was sent flying backwards, landing and sliding on its head on the ground before its entire body fell. Pikachu's eyes were now swirly, meaning that it had fainted.
"Pikachu is unable to battle, Seel wins this round!" Lt. Surge declared.

"Pikachu, return to me please!" Brooks said while returning his Pikachu to its pokeball. He then grabbed another pokeball while putting away his Pikachu's. He stared at the pokeball for a few minutes, until; "I would like to forfeit."

"Are you sure you want to do that?" Lt. Surge asked.

"Yeah, all I have left are fire type pokemon, and my opponent's Seel would take care of the rest of my team with ease," Brooks explained. "So to save us all the time, and myself from embarrassment, I would like to forfeit."
"I see," Lt. Surge replied. "Then because of Brooks' forfeit, Trevor wins this match and moves on to the next round!"

"Seel, you can return then!" Trevor said. He then walked past Brooks and walked up the stairs to the balcony. Brooks was escorted by Lt. Surge to the tables. I saw Trevor walk up to Nurse Joy, handing her his pokemon so they could be healed.
