In pic, on left is newborn and on right is 3-month-old

August's POV

I didnt care who the kid was or what his past was like. Or that he was previously in our pack and I just didn't remember him. I should've killed him for attacking me and almost about to hurt my mate and pups. But Victoria made me promise to let him go and him continue to be rogue.

So I complied with her wishes and allowed him to leave. On the promise he made that if anyone from the pack saw him ever again, then he'd be killed with no mercy on the spot. And that any and all pack warriors had permission to do so. And then he was gone. Followed by pack warriors for at least a mile and a half to ensure he does not return.

I finally was able to take my arm out of the sling. It usually would only take 2-3 days max for a bone break to fully heal. But for mine, it took almost 2 weeks. So he must've hit me pretty good to knock me unconscious and caused a bone to break like that.

In the week after Emmalynne and Declan were born, due to their fast growing due to the wolf gene in them, they grew from the size of newborns to about 3 month old babies. And they were already babbling, especially at each other.

Declan was definitely the more outgoing, determined, and rambunctious baby. Even though, at this size and development, babies don't quite understand how to crawl just yet. But somehow, he was very determined and ended up being able to. So, often times, he'd roll over while having floor time and zoom away.

While Emma just knew how to roll over. That was about it. But at least she was cute and very smiley. Especially when Victoria's dad was around. She loved him more than anyone or anything. She could be playing with her favorite toy in the whole world, being held by me or Victoria, but the moment she heard him or saw him, the babbling and crying would start until he was holding her.

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked, when I saw Declan roll over while Victoria was trying to change him on the floor, in front of the couch, and he started scooting away. I picked his naked butt up and started fake biting his neck to tickle him and he started giggling hysterically.

"Stop eating my baby and let me put a diaper on him." Victoria giggled. I handed him back to her and she set a diaper on him before distracting him with a toy and letting him lay on his play mat next to his sister.

Victoria got up and hugged me while we both stared down at our kids. I couldn't wait to see what they would do in the future.

"I love you." I whispered in Victoria's ear. She smiled up at me before giving me a kiss. "I love you, too, August." She whispered.

"I have a question." I said, sitting down on the couch and pulling her onto my lap. She hummed, setting her head on my shoulder. "And what's that?" She asked.

I pulled out a little box out of my pocket and handed it to her. She lifted her head up as she took it. "Is this what I think it is?" She asked, not opening it and looking up at me. I shrugged. "I dunno. You gotta open it and find out."

She did so, revealing a purple ring. She gasped as she stared at it. "August. It's beautiful." She said.

I took it out of the box for her, took the box out of her hand to put it down, and slid it on her left ring finger

I took it out of the box for her, took the box out of her hand to put it down, and slid it on her left ring finger. She couldn't stop staring at it while tears rushed out of her eyes.

"Love, no need for your tears." I said, touching her cheek. She sobbed before wrapping her arms around me. "Yes. I'll marry you." She cried against me. I chuckled a little, and held her. "I'm glad." I said and kissed her shoulder.

I'm the happiest and luckiest man in the world.
