Lia

Our exams have ended and I still wasn't able to tell Kyle about my decisions.

"Tara, Li. Diretso tayo ng Laguna. Mabilis lang naman biyahe." Thea said while typing in her phone.

I bit my bottom lip. I hate to say no but I've been saying no these past few days to her.

"Sige," I said.

"Nice!" Zach cheered. "It'll be boring without you,"

I rolled my eyes, "Shut up,"

After our remaining classes, we head straight to Laguna. It's nice that Zach passed his driver's license. We wouldn't have to commute anymore.

"By the way, bakit wala ka nung birthday ni Thea?" I asked Zach. I know he wouldn't miss Thea's birthday.

"Galing kasi kaming province nung weekends ng family ko. Sobrang late ko na nakapunta, wala ka na non." He said.

I mouthed an oh and continued scrolling on my phone for possible jobs I can take. It was kind of hard really, none of them I excel in.

I don't want to take on a job related to programming, because I will program for the rest of my life after graduating. I don't want to take a pre grad job related to my course.

"Do you still do photography, Li?" Thea asked out of nowhere.

"Kind of," I said.

"Amelia's looking for a photographer for later, do you want to take it on?"

"How much are they paying?" I asked out of curiosity.

"It's only for the night, I'm guessing 10 thousand? Sa kanila naman yung cam."

"Okay na rin. Sige, sabihin mo ako na kukuha ng photos."

A few more scrolling and I decided to take the vacant job in our local library.

Bale, I work weekday nights on McDonald's and weekend afternoons in the library.

That's a nice schedule.

I smiled, satisfied at my decisions. I emailed the library for my application and I sent McDonald's my resume. Bukas ko kkumpletuhin.

When we arrived in Laguna, there wasn't much people. Only Thea and Amelia's family and Amelia's classmates.

But their backyard looked gorgeous. Nag set up sila ng sweets table saka ng alcohol table kaya sobrang ganda.

"Nakay Aaron yung cam, Lia." Amelia told me. She was busy fixing the third table for the food.

This is so cute. They did all of these by themselves.

I roamed my eyes to look for Aaron but he was nowhere in sight. I asked Aria where he is and she said he's in his room upstairs.

"Nasayo daw yung cam,"

"Ah, yes. Wait."

"I'll enjoy naman kahit ano," I said. As long as I see them happy, I'm fine.

After setting up everything, I take photos of the tables and the yard and then took photos of the guests and Amelia's family.

When it was getting dark and everyone was done asking for photos, Amelia took a look at the photos I took.
