Chapter 19: ACM Awards

Luke's POV
I finished up the spring break shows among other things and this weekend is the ACM Awards. I'm so excited to be hosting with Blake again. Caroline told me she has her dress picked out but she won't let me see it until the day of the award show. I'm dying to see what it looks like but whatever it is I know I'll have the hottest date there. It's so cool to think that we're celebrating the 50th anniversary down in Texas at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. I'm so excited to go there. The whole stadium is gonna be filled, it's gonna be crazy. Right now I'm in Dallas with Caroline and all the guys and I'm getting ready for the ACM archery event and I'm about to meet the Make-A-Wish kids who are gonna shoot with me and Justin Moore. The kid shooting with me is a girl named Emily and from what I've been told she's a really sweet girl.

Michaela's POV
So right now mom and dad are at the ACM Awards with his band in crew in Alrington, Texas. This year being the 50th Anniversary show, the show is being held at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys football team. I kinda wanted to go but it's also mom and dad's chance to have a getaway with out all of us kids running around. Before they left she showed me what he dress looked like and I already that dad's eyes are gonna bulge out of his head when he sees her because it's absolutely gorgeous on her. She looks good in anything honestly. We stayed at the house in Franklin with mama LeClaire and Jordan and Kris. They came up before mom and dad left on the tour bus. I haven't seen Jordan and Kris a whole lot since I moved in with Luke and I'm honestly kinda worried how they're going to act around me.

Right now it's Saturday so since we have a smart tv we're going to connect to the Internet and watch the archery event from the cabela's website. I'm so excited because it looks like a lot of fun. Maybe in the next few years I can do it with him. I'm not that good right now though and it's really about winning and beating Justin Moore's team. We all gathered around the big tv in the basement with some snacks and cuddled up to watch. Dad and Justin Moore each said a few things before they started and I was so happy to watch this with everyone. The only thing I'm worried about later is how Jordan and Kris act because I'm honestly not sure if they like me right now. I don't know why though.

*a few hours later*

The archery evens is over and we're all just hanging out. The girls have still been quiet and it's really starting to get to me.

"Do you guys not like me or something?" I blurted out.

Everyone just looked at me like I screamed.

"What are you talking about?" Jordan asked.

"Well you haven't spoken to me since you got here, neither has Kris." I pointed out.

"Michaela chill maybe they're just tired or something." Til told me.

"Or they just don't like me." I said leaving to go upstairs.

I walked up to my room and closed the door before plopping down on the bed. I don't get why they're ignoring me. Dad lets them stay here all the time and they barely say five words to me. I heard little footsteps and when my door opened Bo walked in. "Hi Bobo." I smiled.

I patted the bed for him to climb up and sit with me. "Sissy cuddle with me." He pleaded.

"Come here buddy." I opened my arms and he climbed on top of me.

"Sissy I love you." He cupped my face in his small hands and gave me a sloppy kiss on the cheek.

I kissed his cheek back and turned on the TV so we could watch it together and grabbed a blanket to put over top of us. He cuddled up to me and I rubbed his back a little. Bo was probably the happiest person ever when I moved in with them. He would follow me everywhere I went. That boy is the most adorable kid ever along with Tate. We were watching tv together when Bo said, "Sissy why are you mad at Kris and Jordan?"

"I'm not mad at them." I told him.

"So why were you mad at them before?" He questioned.

"I'm not mad Bo." I told him again.

"But why were you being mean before?" He asked again.

"Well they don't seem to like me very much." I answered.

"That's not true at all." Kris said as they both walked into my room.

"Did I say you could come in?" I asked sarcastically.

"It's not your house so it doesn't really matter." She answered with sass.

Luke's POV
Well it's officially ACM day. My team won the archery event yesterday and it was a lot of fun. I called my mama yesterday and she said that the girls weren't exactly getting along but that I shouldn't worry and she would handle it. I didn't worry much as I had to read over my lines with Blake again before getting ready for the red carpet. Caroline has her dress and I'm dying to see it. Right now she's getting her make up done and through out the day I was posting on snapchat. The band/crew and I played basketball this morning and did rehearsals for the Superstars Duet show that airs in a few weeks. I'm so excited for the show tonight. Caroline has been all over me this week about if I win entertainer of the year and I'm praying I win. If I do it'll be the second year that I've won ACM Entertainer of the Year. The first I won was two years ago in 2013.

We're getting ready to go do the red carpet and Caroline hollered for me. "Luke are you almost ready?"

"Yeah baby I'm almost done." I answered back.

A few minutes later she came out. "Okay I'm ready." She said.

I looked her up and down with my eyes and I was in total awe. She looked freakin amazing.

"Baby you look gorgeous." I smiled at her as she grabbed hold of my hand.

"You look very handsome yourself." She leaned up and kissed me real good.

"Thank you. Well I guess we should get going huh?" I said.

"I'm ready when you are." She smiled back.

*After Red Carpet*

Caroline's POV
We just got done doing red carpet and the show just started. I already know it's gonna be an amazing night and I'm hoping that Luke pulls the win for Entertainer of the Year. He works so hard and I know it would mean the complete world to him. He does so much for us and performs sometimes 6 nights in a row to take care of us and there's nothing I can do that even comes close to thank him for that. He's just an amazing daddy and husband and an amazing entertainer. Right now I'm sitting by the stage of Vanilla Mike while Luke is busy hosting with Blake. He's having a blast on stage!

Luke's POV
Steven just came onstage and he's getting ready to announce the winner for Entertainer of the Year. This year the nominees are Jason, Garth Brooks, me, Miranda Lambert and Florida Georgia Line. I'm really nervous because everyone in this category are awesome artists and I think we all deserve it even though only one of us can. Finally Steven began talking and then the words finally came.

"And the 2015 ACM Entertainer of the Year is.....Luke Bryan!!!!"

I nearly collapsed when he said my name. I was so excited that while going up there I jumped up and down giving some random guy a hug.

I got on stage and at first I had no idea what to say.

"Y'all I don't even know how to put this into words. I'm extremely grateful for this and I promise you I will take any of this for granted. I'll tell y'all I count my blessings every day. Caroline I love you baby. My boys back at home I love y'all. Everyone in my band and on my crew, my manager Kerry Edwards. Thank you for everything you do for me. My booking agent Jay Williams I try not to forget ya buddy. Everyone else just thank you. Whooooo!!!!" I cheered.
