Jack and Bea walked back into the room just as me and Phil had pulled back from our hug.
"You two good again then?" Jack asked.
"Yeah." I said so that both Phil and Jack knew that I had forgiven Phil.
"So y/n, whilst you were in here last night, you had to get fresh blood because you lost a lot and the nurse told us about some condition."
I really didn't want to talk about it right now and Jack never asked me to tell them about it so I just answered in the most logical way I could think, "Okay."
"Okay what Jack means is tell us what the fuck this condition thing is right now and answer all our questions about it please and thanks." Bea said which made me giggle a little. I looked at them all and decided it just tell them.
"Basically when I was young, I got this disease called Aortic valve stenosis. Basically it's when my hearts aortic valve narrows and it reduced blood flow from my heart into my main artery and the rest of my body. As a child I had to have it treated and surgeries otherwise I would end up dying. We did all the surgeries and everything was fine but I have a special case so my body can only take certain amount of bacteria at a time so that my white blood cells can fight things off quick enough whilst still having a little bit of a blocked flow. That's pretty much it."
"What could it do if it came back or if you didn't get the surgeries?" Jack seemed extra curious.
"Basically I would be like a china plate, the smallest disruption to my system and I would die. Most common things would be heart failure, strokes, blood clots, infections, bleeding. Or just simply death. If I didn't get the surgeries then my heart would have had to work harder and that would have caused the blockage to grow so that it could never be unblocked so yeah."
"What's the chance that you could die from it now?" Phil piped up and seemed pretty concerned so I reassured him.
"Really low chance, mainly just things to do with my blood that could affect it. Only like a 5% chance that I could die because of it now."
"Well that's good then" Bea said knowing that I was attempting to reassure Phil.
"Yeah, really low chance."
"Good good" Phil said.
The nurse walked into the room and came and checked on all of the machines.
"Well Miss y/l/n, you should be good to leave in about an hour just make sure you come back here Thursday morning so that we can check on you and make sure that you are good."
"Okay, thank you."
"No worries sweetie." She walked back out of the door and an hour later, I got changed and Bea, Jack and Phil all helped me out of the hospital to Bea's car.
