the redhead woman stood just before the family and sequoia, a look of determination spread across her face.

"you're not going to win this fight," carlisle expressed, "you're greatly outnumbered."

victoria only smirked, "oh i'm not here to fight, i've only come to retrieve something of mine."

alice walked forward, closing some of the space between the two sides, "you're not taking her."

"oh really?" she raised her eyebrows, "i think i am."

"you're not any good for her."

a chuckle escaped from the red-haired woman, "and you are?"

"we're better than you!"

"says the one who's always putting sequoia in danger," victoria began, tilting her head, "you don't want to be around her, but you're not willing to let her go?"

"you'll treat her the same as bella," alice glared at the vampire in front of her.

"as a mere human who killed a friend of two centuries? i have no reason to treat her the same as that thing."

"we're not handing her over!"

"why don't you let her decide?" she grinned, looking towards the witch, confident as ever.

the fairy-like vampire turned around, putting her hands on sequoia's shoulders. she looked into her eyes, a softer look than she has given her lately. "you have to promise me you won't go," the smile she held looked almost sincere.

"what?" sequoia stuttered, "i'm not staying here, no way!"

"please listen to me, things won't turn out well if you go."

the witch stepped to the side of the vampire blocking her way. she started to head towards victoria, but after she took her first step, an icy hand grabbed her arm, pulling her back. as she was tumbled backwards, an arm wrapped around her waist - she was trapped.

"let me go!" she struggled.

-

"let her go!" the redhead yelled, furious at what was happening in front of her.

"i said we're not letting her go!"

"you're just hurting her more!"

"we're protecting her," the voice from the cullen's side was calmer than the opposing.

"no you're not," victoria growled, stepping forward, now into the house.

"don't come any closer, we will not bring any harm if you leave."

"i'm not leaving until i get what i came here for."

"looks like you have to, unless you want to get hurt - as i said, you're greatly outnumbered."

"shouldn't your instincts be telling you to leave? maybe you should listen to yourself," edward growled, standing behind while holding bella extremely close to him.

the woman glared at the family in front of her, taking another step forward. edward pushed bella back even more before throwing himself at victoria.

she couldn't move to the side, being stuck near a doorframe. the boy grabbed her by the neck, flinging her behind him, further into the house. victoria groaned at the impact, losing focus for a split second.

the engaged boy took her by the neck again, holding her jaw while pulling upwards. cracks were seeping onto the skin.

"stop!" sequoia shrieked, she felt trapped, not able to move or use her magic.
