Everyone had been surprised from the kings behavior last night. "So the king really stood up for a lowly ranked maid? I wonder who she is?" One of the princes court lady said.
"No way! They say the king is has been cruel before but never has he been this cruel!! Is he really going to revoke the royal princesses title his own family?"
"What did the royal princess do to even deserve such a bad punishment?"
"Apparently she flogged one of the maids for no reason! But why would the king even care so much about that anyway? It's just a low ranked maid!"
"Not just any maid there are rumors going around that the king has actually fallen in love with this maid because they've known each other for a very long since they were kids!!"
"Do you think he will make her a higher rank because he's in love with her? Maybe even marr—"
"Hey!!! Watch your tongue. If you court maids keep talking like that I'll cut those smug tongues off your mouths! Don't say such things and make up rumors about the king! You could die by doing so- the palace has ears and eyes watching all over!"
Meanwhile sook ja was in his majesty's manor lying there asleep her body had been badly scarred and bruised from all the flogging she had received. The king sighed looking at her, "royal physician is she going to be okay?"
The royal physician continuously checked her pulse. "She is a bit weak right now her breathing is slow but if she takes this medicine she'll get better. These are the other medicine she will need to apply on her flogged wounds so they can heal and not be scarred forever."
"Thank you I will do this. You will be rewarded greatly when she wakes up I appreciate you doing this."
"It is not a problem your majesty!" The physician bowed and slowly started backing up and then leaving the kings manor. "Don't be asleep for too long..there's still so much we haven't done..."
"Guess I'll just have to give myself baths from now on and take trips by myself..it's going to be so lonely for a bit but I know you'll come around. Wake up soon, I miss you already." He said with a tear rolling down his cheek as he kissed her forehead.
