Finding the Hidden World

6. The Plan.

"Oh. Someone hasn't slept." Athena muttered, standing next to her boyfriend. Hiccup is seen to be working on a prosthetic tail fin. Athena looks at what Hiccup is doing and then looks at a diagram of a tail fin on a board.

"Yeah." Hiccup chuckled at the white haired girl, turning once of the gears on the tail. "Well, unlike you, that Light Fury won't let me within a mile of her" Hiccup tells her, kissing her cheek. After Hiccup says that, Toothless scratches himself, causing his scales to shed and fall onto the ground, as Athena picks them up and walks to Hiccup.

"And neither of us will be getting any sleep or finding the Hidden World." The Chief said, but then looked at Athena who was daydreaming into the distance. "Hey." The brunette has grabbed her attention, as she hummed in response. "You ok?" He questioned his girlfriend cupping her chin, as she took a deep breath. "Yeah, it's just...I still can't believe who my father is and how he's alive and you still love me and...it's just a lot." Said the blue eyed girl, eventually looking at the green eyed boy.

"I will always love you Tia, and you are nothing like your father, you are an incredible, smart, beautiful woman. I know it's a lot to take in, just take your time." He said, holding her hand, as his eyes held all of the honesty of the world.

In response, the girl just hummed and leaned her forehead against his, as he leaned back, they closed their eyes. Enjoying the moment, until Hiccup shouted "Hey!" Towards his best friend, as Toothless pushed Hiccup out of the way to look through a huge magnifying glass that was on the table, just to look at the blueprints on the table.

"What do you think of that?" He questioned Toothless, as he adjusted the magnifying glass, sticking his tongue out in approval. "Yeah."Hiccup pushes Toothless out of the way and picks up a bowl.

"You tried this once before. He didn't want it." The blonde girl said, walking over and seeing what Hiccup was doing as Athena drops Toothless' black scales into the bowl, and looks at Hiccup.

"Wait, so if you've made a tail for Toothless before and he didn't want it, why are you trying it now?" She questioned, with a hand on her hip.

"Well, until now he didn't have a reason to. Right, bud?" He told Athena, and Astrid, before turning around and giving the bowl to Toothless as the dragon spits into the bowl, Hiccup hands Athena the scales to mash.

"Hm..." Astrid says, leaning next to Athena. "What?" She asks. "No. Nothing. I'm--I'm impressed. I mean, look at you two. Embracing change. I am proud of you." Athena stops mashing, and looks at Astrid. "I've always excepted change, what do you mean?" She asks, as the other two look at her as if she's crazy.

"What? I do!" She exclaims, as Hiccup gently holds her forearm, and grabs the bowl of a lares that have now turned into a black paint. "Of course you do." He said, kissing her temple, leaving Athena confused as Astrid just chuckles.

Hiccup starts painting the prosthetic tail fin with the liquid from the bowl, whilst saying:

"Anyway, I'm accepting change because he's my best bud. I want him to be happy. And besides it's just until he brings her back.

He then picks up the new prosthetic tail fin. However, Astrid looks worried by what Hiccup said and shakes her head, then she walks off. Leaving Athena in her own deep thoughts.

"Alright!" Hiccup placed the start of the tail on the floor and pulled a lever, to make the tail expand. "Oh!" Exclaimed Gobber, behind the tail fin. "Fire when ready!" as Toothless shoots a plasma blast at the new tail, Gobber's clothes are now singed and his mustache is on fire.

"Well, I guess you know the tail is fireproof."Gobber tells the young Chief, as he puts out the flame on his mustache, looks at Hiccup angrily and walks away, whilst Hiccup looks at Gobber sheepishly.
