~Lilly~
Nico and I went out to the kitchen. I hopped up on the counter and Nico walked over to me.
"What do you want for breakfast?" I asked him.
"I'm not very hungry, so nothing huge. I was thinking about taking you out for lunch today. What do you say about that?"
I smiled. "That sounds nice. But when do you have to go back to college to actually graduate?"
"This is actually considered spring break for us. So I don't have to go back until next week. Like, today is Sunday. Not tomorrow, but next Monday."
I looked over at his face and smiled. "Okay. Well, since I already have my degrees in both music and art, I need to find a job. And this is more of a town, not a city. There's this little studio that I used to love as a kid. It's one building, but split in the middle. One half is a music store, like selling instruments and giving music lessons, and the other half is an art studio. I want to see if Lorraine still owns it..."
I started going deep into thought about when I was younger, taking piano from the middle-aged woman. She used to play so many songs for me on all the instruments and paint pictures of a ton of things. And I still have the picture she pained for me. The canvas is all fuchsia pink, except for the lily in the center.
I hopped off the counter and sprinted into the basement.
"Lillian! Where are you-" He stopped. "Whoa. I've never been in your basement."
I looked back and grabbed his hand. "Then come on! I'm looking for something down here."
I turned the light on and let Nico's hand go. There were boxes upon boxes, labeled, but all stacked up everywhere. I found one that said Lillian: Music and Art, so I grabbed it and plopped down on the cold concrete floor. Nico knelt down in front of me, scowling.
I rummaged through the box until I found it. At the very bottom was the beautiful picture that was painted for me. Everything was fuchsia, except for the white lily in the center. And I forgot about this, but there are black music notes all over it. I smiled.
"This is it! Oh my gods! I found it!" I exclaimed.
I put the box back, but kept the picture out. I sprinted up the steps, turning the lights off, then closing the door when Nico finally got his butt upstairs. I put the picture on the counter and looked it over.
"Isn't it beautiful, Nico?" I asked.
"Where did you get this?"
"Lorraine! The lady who used to own the music and art studio. I hope she still does. She's the one that gave me piano lessons and taught me how to draw. I want to work there! After lunch, which isn't for a few hours, can you please go with me to see-"
He stopped me with a small kiss. "Yes! I'll go with you! Plus, I have to have a part time forensic job soon for more credits. Can you come with me?"
I giggled and placed my hands on his chest. "Yeah."
He smiled and looked me over. "Babe, you're still not wearing pants."
"Darling, you only have boxers on. Do you really want to do this? Because I can! I can all day!"
"Whatever! I'm gonna take a shower. I'll eat later."
Nico disappeared down the hallway and I got a Poptart from the cupboard. Cookies and cream to be exact... And it was good.
I went back to our room to see Nico pulling pants on. I giggled some as he looked at me. His eyes went from my head to my feet, then to my eyes.
"At least I'm getting dressed..." Nico mumbled.
